  I (know) a great deal as well. More than I will ever reveal to ANYONE. Yes, time is of the essense in many cases, yet who's clock do we go by? If this story gets squashed, it won't be because any of us weren't being patient or were being too nosy. It will simply be because certain People have complete and certain control of what gets plastered all over the world news. Am I wrong? No one can say, can they? What do they really know about how this worlds well-oiled machines run and who runs them? It's the same way I feel about "god"...no one KNOWS!

  I hope I am not putting a bad taste in your mouth Mulan. I can only tell people what is honestly inside me. Of course, it will never be exactly the same as the insides of another. And I don't want to be sour here. I hope you guys are having a good time.{{{{{{hug}}}}}}

  Oh sure, the media is mostly (please note, "mostly") controlled in certain key ways, but not in the ways you are thinking. Or at least, if the links you post are any idea of what you may be thinking, you are wrong.

  No, we can not know what you think, because you seldom express what you think. However, certain web sites you post for us, do give us an idea about what you consider relevant. Once I read one of your links, re: Ann's Diary, and expressed my opinion. You, that one time, expressed an opinion, you disagreed with me. You never did give a rationale as to your disagreement. Why not?

  I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I am just as impatient as anyone else here, for this Dateline thing to air. The longer it seems to delay, the more we all look foolish for talking about it. So, it's best to not talk, maybe. But, on this board, we all talk about everything, so it will continue to be discussed.

  I've never doubted your honesty and I trust you, and it's really not a matter of impatience on my part concerning the Dateline airing,
  but rather, wanting to know something solid. A year has gone by and
  things can change in a year. Networks can get cold feet on a story that is too controversial.

  I wondered if it was just on the 'drawing boards' at NBC, or if actual correspondents had interviewed jW victims, and some of those questions have been answered now by my query.

  With the WT's long "tradition" of lawyering up and being a society of lawyers, even having one as a president, Supreme Court victories, etc., I'd say they know how to work the system to their benefit.

  And say even if DATELINE has this story wrapped and ready to go,
  those WT Bastards could find the right judge to issue an injunction
  to prevent the airing of the program and keep extending that ban
  until they came up with another strategy... who knows.
  Attorneys DO KNOW how to postpone.

  I just get the impression that a lot of folk here have got their hopes up and would hate to see them dashed. Some are so expectant
  of a devastating blow to the WT, they are fairly salivating.

  The WT has a way of making things 'disappear'.

  I don't know that they've ever used the boycott tactic before,
  but maybe they could even convince NBC that their unified theocrats
  would boycott the advertisers if they aired the piece.
  Yeah, that's the ticket, use their "Kingdom Unity" as a threat to this network... threaten their bottomline - moolah from advertisers.

  and that's just for starters.

  Call me a pessimist.

  I hope the show airs and make it a two-parter!
  Have Stone Philips intoning at the end of part one:
  "Be sure to join us this coming Friday night for the conclusion of this Horror Story of a Global Religious Organization providing safe haven for Evil Pedophiles, and we'll also hear more from the victims."

  I'll bet you the jW DoorBangers, the next morning - Saturday, will have a mighty rough go of it from the people who got an inside look at their Kingdom, the night before on the tube.

  The producer of NBC's Dateline and I had a conversation this morning and this very issue was discussed. Everyone involved hopes speculation will cool, but human nature suggests it may not. A few authoritative points:

  The program is rock solid, it will air; the date has not yet been determined. It is not yet in final form but shortly will be. You may reasonably conclude that the presentation will be adequate in length to cover very complex issues.

  There is nothing any outside influence can do to change this, nor can it be shaped from without. A highly skilled professional, the producer frankly states some may be disappointed if they are expecting merely a vehicle for cult-bashing or dissidence per se.

  It will be a very honest and careful presentation that will in my opinion have "legs," especially in view of the issues now capturing the attention of the American public; e.g., ecclesiastical privilege, judicial processes, some of the things discussed on this board. It may very well be an enormous catalyst for significant change.

  To lighten up a bit, someone said it's been like grass: eventually it becomes milk. For some, this has been an intense labor of love for many, many years. You will be most captivated by the Dateline story's very human aspects. It is not the end, but a beginning.
