I guess where I was coming from was just that he emphasized that her weight was baby related, not medical such as thyroid, metabolism, etc. If it is all just baby weight it will come off natuarally, without the use of diet pills. Doesnt sound like it is life-threatening, he did not mention that she was obese before pregnancy... Unless I missed something.
I did not understand or interpret Tom Cat to be complaining about his wife's weight in general. No man hating here.

I'm fat. I admit it. But I have this rare disorder called reverse anorexia. I look in the mirror and see a skinny person instead of a fat person.
My husband loves me JUST THE WAY I AM. BUT...I know I should lose weight for health reasons (even though I'm a BIg Beautiful Woman). Tried every diet known to womenkind. Exercise and eating moderately is probably everyone's best way to go. I know it, but don't do it.

It's a shame that men don't realize why we women get so bent out of shape the minute they comment on a woman's weight, we take offense, it's only natrual, we are always expected to look good for them. I wonder at times if they have read any books on the human bodies design,explaining that women natrually have more fat stores in certain parts of our bodies for pregnancy and childbirth. Men will never understand how much pressure is put on us women by society's unrealistic standards of what looks good. Men don't have to deal with genetics, pregnancy and the inevitable weight gain it adds.

I noticed Tomcat said his "wife" struggles with her wieght not that he thinks she is fat.....I think most women struggle after having kids....I still have a few pounds to go before I'm back to pre-preg weight but that still doesn't make my hips any smaller. I stopped drinking soda and now only drink water at home...soda and juice ever now and then....Juice has alot of sugar and calories. This has help with my mood and my skin.. water is a natural way to cleanse your body and also makes you look younger......refreshing isn't it......of couse it helps that i live next to a natural water source....yum good water

I have a suggestion; going forward, any man or woman who brings up the weight of their significant other, must first post a picture of themselves. If it's the 'pot calling the kettle black' then we will help them lose the weight. Then once they look like Jane Fonda or Arnold S. we will help them with their partner... lol
