I still opt for Weight Watchers, it's worked well for me and my wife. It's a balanced eating plan. You don't have to give up any foods you can't live without, and it isn't a fad diet that you can't live with long term. I've lost 180 lb. and my wife has lost 60. On the exercise question, I didn't really start exercising until I had lost 100 lb. Now I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and am feeling (and looking, imho) much better, have a lot more energy and the bod is getting solid for the first time, like, ever. My wife used to exercise but hasn't been able to get back into the routine since her Mom went into the nursing home and she visits her several times a week.

Thanks for all the responses, I'm still reading them all but wanted to say a few things.
First off, and most importantly, I am not the one with the issue concerning her weight. SHE is. I think she is more beautiful than the day we married. I'm sorry if my original post came off sounding any other way. I know there are men out there who have crappy attitudes towards their wives weight, but that aint me. There are a few good guys still out there.
My concern is that she is going to have adverse affects from this drug she has chosen to take. If it were up to me, she wouldn't be taking it. But it's her decision and i can only offer my opinion and want o do so based on some knowledge of the drug and any problems it might have. I found alot of info from another forum dedicated to it but of course that is one sided IMO.
I'm going to continue reading the posts on this thread, just wanted to clear some things up.
Thanks!!!

This might help. Paul McKenna has released a book and a CD about losing weight. The gist is that you train yourself to stop when you are full. It works in a majority of cases, and it means you can eat what you like (more or less) It also encourages you to eat slower, and really enjoy your food.
Just thought i'd offer this nugget of info.... it migth be a better than stomach stapling anyway....
