**The propriety of expelling those who practice wicked deeds can be illustrated by the following situation: Because of the increase of assaults and violent crimes against students, some schools have adopted a policy that "calls for lifetime suspensions for students who use or threaten to use weapons," reports The Globe and Mail, a newspaper in Toronto, Canada. The expelling is done to protect the students who want to benefit from the educational program without being subjected to violent acts.**

So, smoking, having sex or voting is here compared to carrying a loaded gun into a school.

The WT really does get the award for CRAPPIEST ANALOGIES IN THE WORLD.

    Sheesh

grrrrrrrr, can't believe I read this again...

Elders had tried to help a person we will call Anna, but she turned to smoking, drinking, and drugs. She was unrepentant and did not remain in the congregation.

clearly all of us who have left Jehobah's loving fold are all drug addicted nymphomaniacs!??...if only life was really that interesting! what a sickening joke this tripe all is. Frog x ...and yes Zagor, they're a sick and twisted bunch who get some sick perverted pleasure out of seeing thousands of innocent people suffer, and breaking up families:(

Perhaps they are not sick, pathological, but rather they are being cunning and devious with their usual mind games splitting hair and redefining the basic and universally accepted meaning of words and pretending to be stupid and ignorant.

Someone who is living an immoral, criminal or otherwise unchristian life should be put out of the congregation.

But, Pa those are the ones who are the most funnnnnn.

That and asking a question. What gets me is the rank and file eat this SH*T right up. And marvel at how insightful the society is.

Along the lines of what Es was saying. THis is the part about dfing/shunning that simply blows my mind. How my parents can turn their back on their flesh and blood, ignore the natural bond between parent and child, is simply too hard to fathom. Especially now that I have children, and I feel the intense love for them, a love that is just not measurable. There is absolutely no way anybody on this planet, or outside of this planet, could ever demand that I deny or shun either one of my precious babies. I would simply tell them to screw themselves, and thats all there is to it. Yet thousands of witness parents are able to do this to their own flesh and blood. Unbelievable.

We were asked to tell out "unbelieving" family members that my sister had somehow become violently ill between the ceremony and the reception, and we all went though with it, and did as we were told

    but thats lying..

    a disfellowshipping offence

The fact that they corrupt the uniquely special parent-child relationsip shows what kind of a diabolical cult they are, no normal person would ever conceive such a thing.

I guess it never really hit me all the repercussions such as the shunning etc, until i became a parent myself. I can not get my head around how a parent can do that to there child. I could never ever cut myself off from my son,

And that es, is why I am no longer in the wts I couldn't shun my oldest son when he was df'd.
