Could we be right, and they be right too?

Right is right. Wrong is wrong. Either we "apostates" are correct in our exposition or we are not. It can't be both, obviously.

    Hi JH,

I'm not a believer myself, but I suppose in principle if you were considering the possibility of the kind of God who bestowed his favour on one particular organisation, then it may be possible that he would favour an organisation even if it was imperfect. In those circumstances though, I would at least expect that organisation to have good intentions. I think the compelling case can be made that the JWs do not have good intentions (the organisation that is, rather than all of the individuals in it), demonstrated by their behaviour over such issues as the UN involvement, "this generation", 607/587 and protection of paedophiles, where you can positively say that the organisation has acted deliberately to obfuscate and decieve, rather than to be honest, when they had and still have the choice to be honest, if it was in their hearts to do so.

    ig.

They way I see it, we are all imperfect, and really have no clue which religion is the true religion! It all goes by what your taught! I dont think that a loving god would destroy those in armegedon who simply dont know which way to turn! I would rather not go to any, and take my chances!!!!!

Teachings aside, I dont see how God could give his approval to the JW's considering all the harm they do the people.

Do they have a few things right? I'm sure they do, but dont all religions? Like the signs of the time of the end, earthquakes, etc... or like Armegeddon, I am sure someday there will be an Armegeddon, so are the JW's the only ones who preach this? Nope, so although they may be right about it, so would most of the worlds population.

I'll start here JH, as regards those on the inside, even if it does come out that Jehovah's Witnesses have the truth, because of the referenced scripture below, I'll always believe there to be room for others to spread God's Word and still have his approval.

    Jesus Forbids Sectarianism

    LUKE 9:49,50

( J ) 49 Now John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us."

50 But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us [ c ] is on our [ d ] side." With all that has gone wrong within the WTBTS, I too have a problem thinking that it could have his, (Jehovah's) exclusive backing.

All religions teach people to be good-the Witnesses don't have a monopoly on that, contrary to what they tell you. If you turned out well, thank you parents. I've known some doosey Witness parents that have really messed up their kids.

I used to sit in the hall and cringe when other religions were slammed, because it was so biased. My best memories are of a child at our church, with youth group, retreats, choir, etc. And never were people treated in the heinous way that the Witnesses treat people. It's live and let live in "worldly" churches, someone the WTBS could learn alot from.

My BIL is one that will say if he hadn't found the "Truth", he would have ended up badly. I used to try to point out that the religion didn't do it-he did it all himself. Eventually I gave up, because he couldn't see the difference.

This is exactly what my father says, he would have been violent, a drinker, followed in the footsteps of his father and brothers. I told him he could have picked any religion to do this. But he doesnt get it either. Oh well.

OMG - I NEVER thought this would happen.

I have been compelled to go and LOOK UP a scripture! Luke 9:49 - 50. What a great scripture. How come I never saw it before. This opens up a MILLION logical possibilities.

Fancy an apostate site moving me so much to pick up the book I thought I would never look at again (havent looked at it AT ALL for 8 years)!!
