I don't think I would even be interested if they reform.
I am tired of organized religions. They always need to be kept in check because of abuses that seem to creep in no matter how well-intentioned everybody is. After a while they all turn into something horrible.
They are just a way for certain people to seek prominence and lord it over everybody.

...RIGHT ON. I have come to absolutely loathe organized religion. It never fails to DE-volve into some cheesy people bashing scam.
The one thing I do see in this reform movement, which will probably be short-lived is that someone is taking the time to address the strangle hold of the GB from a different perspective than the anti-jw discussion boards and I say the more flak heading for the fan the better! -

I think they need way more reform than I saw mentioned on that site . I don't even get why they say it's a loving organization , they love one thing and that is to have people in subjection to them . Most jw dubs I've ever known are a worthless breed of humanity . They condemn people on the spot for any variation of bible beliefs .They are such friggen hypocrites I just want to punch them in the face for their smugness ............... pud em up pud em up ........

Hey, whatever squeezes headquarters can't be all bad. Their aims may be futile, but so is the aim to "bring down the Watchtower". I bet these reformers have cut down on their financial contributions.
I think a slow and lingering death is a more realistic scenario. Closet reformers in the Kingdom Halls can't hurt.

This is a great transition website for JW's who are starting to think for themselves. I see they link to AJWRB and Silentlambs.
Now THIS might be a link to give to JW relatives and friends.

"The point here, however, is that while we can condemn the behavior of the Watchtower, we cannot condemn the people who are a part of it or who are associated with it based on the false prophet argument. In other words, the false prophet charge is not justification for passing final judgment on Jehovah's Witnesses or individual members of the Watchtower organization. "
This is taken from their site under the topic heading, " The Watchtower Society is a false prophet . . ."
To me this is nothing but Witness-speak; finding a way out for the guilty ones thus making no one responsible for the lies.

Reformation Movement is a waste of time. For the WTS to reform in any kind of way would be an admission of error. If they were in error then they obviously were not being used by God let alone speaking for him. They'll never relenquish the power they have over the JWs by admitting that they might have been wrong.
The best that this "Movement" can hope to accomplish is that some sincere JWs who test the Internet waters but are afraid of "apostate" sites might stumble across their site and give them a look-see where otherwise they might run if it was full on anti-JW or "apostate". Then it might raise some questions, cause some doubts, open some eyes, etc. I know when I first started looking on the Interent for JW stuff, I tried really hard to look only at purely academic type sites where facts and observations were stated without opinion or blame.

Undercover . . .I hope the site will work the way you've suggested.

Doubtfully Yours
There's definitely a reformation movement within the JWs, whether they like it or not it will happen sooner rather than later, because all the die-hards are literally dying off and the new generation of JWs is more educationally/technologically/humanly inclined.
I'm somewhat excited! I see some changes already:
More young people choosing to further their education past high school, which in turn will broaden their minds and help disipate the cultish 'JWs against the world' mentality.
It's just awesome!

Hey, even tho' any 'reform' is way too late for me to care...we should applaude any group of Witnesses that have taken risks and started thinking for themselves. If they can plant seeds of doubt in the belief that GB is doing "God's Will..."
What they've done is help open minds, doors and maybe even roads -- out of the WatchTower.
As Martha would say, "That's a good thing!"
Doncha think ?
