Else, even with the cost of processing, it's better to recycle plastic bottles into carpet, composit lumber (Trex-type decking), fencing, etc., than to have them sit in the landfill for a millenia. The cost of reprocessing and retail pricing is coming down especially relative to the prices of new materials relying on oil and wood products going up.

Yes, does Texas, home to our illustrious President have a valid viable recycling program?

I'll just say that our recycling programs are just as impressive as our public transportation system.

(For those who don't know, public transportation around here SUCKS)

Leggy, yeah, it's a royal pain, until you get yourself well set up for it.

When we remodeled our kitchen we had recycleing in mind. We have a corner sink, and the cabinet goes all the way back. Under there I have Metal, Bottles, Plastic Bags, Deposit Bottles, all within easy reach. The cab left of sink has a pullout with bin for rubbish in the front and paper in the back. Organization helps so very much. Plus, once you have to clean out a stinking can or loose your cans thru the bottom of a stinking wet bag, it reinforces the washing part.....

If you'd like, I can add some lube and move it around for you.

    (Damn, that sounds nasty! )
