Scully the answer is A. Acts 5:29 "In answer Peter and the [other] apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men." Scully let me clarify my answer alittle more. IF the FS would tell me to do something that God disproves of THEN and only THEN would i apply acts 5:29!

Defd - it is not so much that they require anyone to do things specifically forbidden in the Bible [ although I imagine some will post otherwise, and they might have a point I missed as a witness ] . But that they have inserted themselves in the place of God. They have added to the word by formulation of voluminous legalisms. By doing so they have in effect diluted the conscience that should grow as one serves God. They have attempted to 'legislate righteousness' - Jesus nailed the Law, and it's legalistic interpretations by the religious community, to the cross.

Jehovah's witnesses legalistic approach to Christianity has taken away Christian Freedom and replaced it will rule books. As can be clearly demonstrated many of the rules that come from such an approach are in fact violations of scriptural principle. Hiding of child molestors in the congregation, forcing witnesses to die rather than to take blood [but allowing them to partake of transfused factions], the cruel shunning of former witnesses guilty of no 'scriptural' crimes.

When men begin to interpret God's words, with a claimed authority to do so that has no direct proof, nothing good can come from that.

    Just my opinion -

If he's among us, whether he wants to admitted or not, he's already an apostate by WBTS' standards.

He aslo said you will tell a tree by the fruit it bears, refering to people

Are you sure about what Jesus was referring defd? Later in the same gospel:

    (Matthew 7:15-20) 15

"Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men].

(Matthew 12:33-37) 33 "Either YOU people make the tree fine and its fruit fine or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for by its fruit the tree is known. 34 Offspring of vipers, how can YOU speak good things, when YOU are wicked? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man out of his good treasure sends out good things, whereas the wicked man out of his wicked treasure sends out wicked things. 36 I tell YOU that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned."

I have spent many months examoning the words of the Watchtower Society - what Matthew's gospel describes as the fruits.

Yes - that was one of my top 100 flip-flops.

Didn't I read another earlier one where they confused Satan with Jehovah. Not just the Great Pyramid designer, but didn't they also get dodgy information from somewhere about Abaddon?
