KFC - I love their boneless wings. Can't tolerate anything else there - the last time I tried I would up in the hospital with a gall bladder attack

McD - The only thing I will eat there is their chicken burger. The fries are only good until they get cold - then they taste like cardboard - although supposedly they a 0g cholesterol

Wendy's - absolutely the Spicy Chicken burger (someone else here said that). fries last longer before they are inedible. Also love their Mandarin Chicken Salad

Burger King - never - one of my daughter's used to work in one

Harvey's Double Burger - mustard, relish, onion and EXTRA pickle THE BEST - so I sure am glad they haven't all closed. In Montreal they are gone. Winnipeg only has one left. But I know where they are in Ottawa

I don't go to these places often but sure enjoy it when I do

Now if you want to talk subs Subway - love the Sweet Onion Teriaki Chicken Quizno's - I never know what to order because I like too many

LOL @ Simon! Odd reason to prefer KFC, IMO. PepsiCo is about as globalized as you can get. They are right there with Coca-Cola and McDonald's as far as I can tell.

That said, I prefer KFC for chicken and/or biscuits and McDonald's for Big Macs and Fish Filet sandwiches. I don't know why I like the filet, but I get a craving every now and then. Take's me back to my childhood. Nostalgia food, I guess.

They have such different things that it depends on the mood and current finances.

    Lady Lee, QUIZNO'S RULES!!!

    Neither!
For chicken I like Bo-jangles and for burgers, I like to go to a small mom and pop type resturant. I want real hamburger not soy. Quiznos is the bomb for subs. Subway bread is to chewy for my taste.

I don't know, I don't mind McDonald's, but I do like me some Chicken, so I'm gonna have to go with KFC.

But Burger King whips both their arses! And Subway is glorious!

I had a meal once in Kenny Rogers chicken restaurant , that was in Malaysia. Theres nothing like eating Chicken whilst listening to "Islands in the Stream".

At last, sweet mystery of life I've found you.

I like Schlotsky's Deli. They closed all the ones near where I live though. Yummmmy.

When I don't feel very well, I want an Arbys. Plain, non-greasy, filling. HL

At Schlotzsky's, we believe there's only one way to build a truly fresh-tasting sandwich: start with fresh buns.

We're not satisfied with just "fresh." We are only satisfied with Schlotzsky's signature Fresh-from-Scratch™ buns.

Frozen may be an okay way to order your margarita, but it's not your first order of making good bread.

At Schlotzsky's, real bakers get up really early and mix up from scratch our secret Schlotzsky's recipe. We hand-make our buns, watch them with a careful eye until they bake to perfection, then tenderly remove them from our special ovens and cure them for the proper length of time.

And we do it every single morning.

Then and only then does a bun deserve to be called Fresh-from-Scratch™.

And then and only then does it get to be served up with all the unique and delectable flavor combinations that continue to make Schlotzsky's famous.

Sure, we go to great lengths to make our sandwich buns. But that's at least one big reason why so many go to great lengths to satisfy their cravings at our restaurants.

So if you come across some misguided soul who may be wondering who has the freshest sandwich buns, here's what you tell them:

Scratch everybody else off your list.

Because only one place serves Fresh-from-Scratch™ buns. Schlotzsky's!

Schlotzsky's official website, cooldeli.com, is your Internet location for Schlotzsky's™ Restaurants! You'll find answers to your questions concerning nutrition, new sandwiches, carry-out catering, box lunches, the amazing Bun Run™ race, and franchise information. Check out our restaurant locator, nutrition guides, and all the business information on franchise opportunities. View our menus and visualize our pizzas, salads, soups, wraps and delicious sandwiches served on our distinctive sourdough bread. Then stretch or take a quick nap. You must be rather tired after all that reading and mousing.

McDonald's is pure nasty, both aesthetically and corporationally. Ugly bloated supersize corporate behemoth of bland DOOM.

Um, KFC is just about big enough to make my conscience puke, especially since they started merging with Taco Bell. But I do love fried chicken. We rarely eat there except on the way to or from my son's house, a 2-hour drive away.

Now, when it comes to fast food, I like the smaller (or at least lesser-known) places that try harder: Burger King, Quizno's, and Ono Hawaiian Barbecue.
