Tax refund and bonus in the same week.

i am feeling briefly rich.

tomorrow my husband gets his bonus as well as it being payday.

his bonus is doubling one pay period, so that's nice.

JWD wow..I know that feeling! Definitely put some aside though. I am waiting for my bonus and my tax return too so I can move OUT!! :)

i personally don't believe that jesus christ came 2000 years ago to save anyone bar for himself, if there was an actual jesus he lived his life according the way his spirit led him, this ended in his death - as he was a threat to the rulers/government/religious leaders of that time.

he took a stand for what he believed in and was responsible for his actions.. today we have christian faiths that lay their sins at the foot of the cross and expect to be forgiven over and over again for their perceived sins and i reckon that they truly believe that christ will wash away their sins with his blood....why should jesus (as god for arguments sake) take on the sins of everyone else?

he did his time.

Thats kinda where Im at with Jesus Lou. I believe he existed. I believe he was a charismatic man, a leader at a time when people were under oppression. And I agree he was killed because they perceived him as a threat because they were talking about making him king...like the ACTUAL king. I dont believe that he is anything BUT a really good man. And I believe his legend and his stories of healings and making people walk and bringing people back from the grave grew out of peoples desires to make him more than he actually was in life.

I also believe church provides some solice for people. Some place to feel like there is hope out there. And others show up after killing somebody and sit in the front pew and think they can be forgiven of their sins and go out the door to brunch and start a new week of being NO different than they were before.

Yeah...accountability. Its whats for dinner.

Has anyone seen this Watchtower article before?

hi, my first post here.

i stumbled across something in the watchtower 1981 magazine (in my wbts library cd) showing the faithful and discreet slave is "a composite individual".

i have never seen this anywhere before, but the wbts set-up of the fds as "a composite individual" looks somewhat similar to the trinity of three divine persons in one true god.

The Witnesses stretch their "theocratic" theories like a condom over a bowling ball but they MAKE it fit no matter the bullshit that they have to spread on it to do it. Im still wondering after reading the Revelation book FOUR times...how the hell a book written as a DREAM a REVELATION a VISION... can be chocked full of things that are NOT literal and yet they can pull the 144,000 out of there and call THAT a literal number.

Its like my mother saying, "Do it because I TOLD YOU SO!" and that should be sufficient for the rest of us.

I remember the first time I went out, and I actually placed two magazines with a couple. I was SO ecstatic that I wrote them a letter and thanked them for being so kind as to support my efforts in the ministry and that it was my first time and....

I went on and on like i had lost my VIRGINITY to them! Looking back and I am QUITE SURE they decided we were all certifiable and never opened the door to us again.

There were days I loved it but mostly it was required slavery and drudgery and I could not WAIT for it to be over each time.

Tornado

well, tuseday night was a scary night.

the f4 tornado tore through my little town killing 8 people.

i am so sad over this.. luckily, my house is ok but it passed only about 1/4 mile or less away from me.

Having gone through three hurricanes that went right over us, and the devastation that left..I soooo can sympathize with what your community is going through.

It makes for great neighbors though...everybody pitching in and helping each other. Brings out the best in folks.

If there is one thing on this planet that I am SO grateful for in the fight to reveal the TRUTH about the "TROOF" its the internet. Its like picking up mercury with your bare fingers for them. They cant control it...they cant stop it...they cant do shit about it.

They can play Whack a Mole all they want to with the videos and like the Hydra, the more they cut off, the more that grow back.

I love it. And you KNOW all those JWs out there with access to the internet are looking at all this stuff in the secrecy of their homes. Yep..they are.
