Thanks and Who Am I...

i have been a lurker now for almost a year, and now that newbies can get on board, here i am.. here's my story.
baptized at 15 and made ministerial servant by 19. my father, mother, siblings and entire side of my mother's family are jehovah's witnesses.

The Secret Pioneer School Manual
by WuzLovesDubs ini saw one up close and personal because the jw annointed sister who was studying with me, told me that if i looked up every scripture in her (illegally gotten before the school started) pioneer school book and cut it out of old green nwts and pasted them in the margins, it would make her a stronger pioneer and jehovah would reward me.
and in the process i would learn where things were in the bible.. gosh what an incredible honor i was blessed with!
you know i did it..i didnt know a damn thing.

This woman I did all this work for, she went from Illinois to Wisconsin Janesville to attend the school with a bunch of others. We brought her up there and then when she was about to come home they had a special meeting and one of the Gov Bod was there...Jaracz I think..to speak and I looked around at all these people hanging on every word this man said like he was God himself. I was sick as a damn dog...that I do remember...with baaaaaaaad bronchial infection I had managed to get at a Cubs double header two days before. So I coughed through the entire talk he gave.
How damned disrespectful of me LOL but you woulda thought people GLOWED IN THE DARK after attending that damn thing. I didnt know any better, as I had just started studying like a month before that and so it was all oooooohs an ahhhhhhhhhhhhs to me at that point.

Gosh what an incredible HONOR I was blessed with! You know I did it..I didnt know a damn thing. She was cheating and I was aiding and abetting.
Why was that book so SECRET? While in hell do they keep some things SECRET from the rest of the R&F? Like Gilead training and the things in the Elders Manual and the Pioneer Book? What IS that??

by I quit! inare anymore people attending meetings due to the bad economic condition of the world right now?
from what i read here i don't think they are.
if they can't grow in this environment i think they will even get smaller when things get good again.

Being a Dub is guaranteed to wreck your life, strain family relations with non-Dub members, leave you uneducated, working at menial jobs that provide no satisfaction, insure that you will always be just treading water financially, leave you with no retirement.....

I should have been more specific LOL! No guarantees that your place is saved in PARADISE or that you will be SAVED or that you have any TRUTH to speak of. LOL And yes, what you wrote ARE all guaranteed.

If the Watchtower Society decided to open a Mortgage Company and give really cheap mortgage loan to members in good standing...youd see a quick increase. People expect something for their dedication.
Right now being a JW is a JOB by itself with no return and no guarantees.

Jehovahs Witnesses - Mainstreaming, Like It Or Not
by metatron init used to be that pioneers supported themselves with free literature and magazines and put in 100+ hours a month.
then 90, then 70.. a publisher had to put in at least an hour a month to be counted.
now 15 minutes.. they used to hand out a written review and collect it and grade it!

They are definitely going through some changes. Im thinking that now they have had to add BAD ECONOMY for everybody including them. That means that many of their flock are out of work. Many are in the trades and the trades are suffering a lot. And the result of that is tightening the purse strings and not giving to the World Wide Work like they used to IF they used to.
So yeah...they might have property in Brooklyn they are selling, but in this market what do they think they are gonna get for it when there are other BETTER YOUNGER less complicated properties out there firms could buy?
There is definitely change afoot. I think this religion will just eventually be reduced to the Farm in upstate New York with a few satellite operations and a few die hards.
It has NOTHING to offer anyone that they cant get at a local church with NONE of the heartache.

by RULES & REGULATIONS ini was just thinking of all the things i did for the wts (a group of old men that live in new york whom i've never seen and never will) and what they gave me in return.. .
what i did for the wts :.
studied the ''truth book'' for 6 months just to get baptized.

Sure there will be toilets! But no plumbing, no clean water sources, no pumping stations, no maintained sewer lines, no toilet paper because there wont be paper mills or logging or ....

SM part this week: Blood Indoctrination from Reasoning Book. How'd it go?
by Open mind inthis week's service meeting has a 10 minute part which is an "audience discussion" (yeah right) of 2 or 3 pages from the reasoning book on blood.
there are several statements within the assigned material to effect of: 'well, if you die faithful, at least you'll be resurrected.
so pass the saline solution kool-aid!'.

I am lead to wonder when that Reasoning Book was last updated you know? Since there have been so many "changes" in the blood issue...so many methods and components and surgical procedures they can still use their "conscience" on.

JW facebook page growing fast, and already outing troublemakers......
by oompa ininteresting place to lurk and in just a few days there are 180 members....i quickly noticed there are very many posts raising questions elders hate to be asked...like why is there a no face hair rule except for mustache?.....and many others...like wedding rings are pagan...but due to nobody feeling that way now...why is that rule not applied to everything else like it...and on and on from many who have posted...... and they ususally want to know if there are biblical reasons for the rule or teaching!!!
!......this thing will not last long........oompa.
oh and if you join...the guys running it send pms to you listing the "trouble makers" found on the site....not sure if they can be kicked out without violating the rules like cussing and porn posting.......i just wonder how many tough questions they will let be discussed..... .
