  former elder, and assembly overseer roberto from france will be joining barbara and joe anderson on tonight's conference call, july 18,2009. roberto was disfellowshipped in june 2009 and after many faithful years of service is now joining thousands of others who are speaking out against the evils of the watchtower organization.

  our call tonight will be focused on how the country of france, as well as other european countries are investigating jehovah's witnesses.

  the watchtower organization is experiencing difficulties in these countries for the inhumane treatment and exerting too much control over people's lives.

  since the JWs DONT ANNOUNCE WHAT PEOPLE ARE DFD for...and dont PUBLISH what they were DFd for ...how can ANYONE just assume they were DFd for immorality????

  I sure as hell wasnt!! Lets just assume this man was immoral THEN WE DONT HAVE TO GIVE HIM ANY CREDENCE AT ALL! Right Ren??? Is THAT what you want? And if it wasnt immorality,...then it MUST BE DRUGS!! or or or....SMOKING!! or or or....

  Well we DO know he wasnt disfellowshipped for PEDOPHILIA because the JWS ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN AND LET THE PEDOPHILES CONTINUE TO GO OUT IN SERVICE WITH YOUR KIDS!!

  I have been SERIOUSLY dissed yesterday!

  but it fits in this case.. we just rolled in from vacation, got our first mail delivery since getting back yesterday.

  in the stack of mail was an envelope with a card.

  WTS causing more anguish

  i don't really know where to start on my first post; i feel i have so much to say and yet i am so emotionally tired that it is hard to go through it all again in my head.

  but, i do need support and advice and so i will make the effort.. i started having doubts about certain beliefs of the witnesses about 2 years ago and did research since that i now come to the belief there is no god, and witnesses definitely are a cult.. at first it bothered me more on the god issue, but now i am more bothered by the cult issue, mainly because it dictates my life even though i am aware of it.. when i was a child, my mother and father divorced and my mother told me i will live with my father because she was going to die at armageddon being a non witness.

  i think, as well as many other pressures i cant list for fear of a very long post, this was the main pressure that made me get baptized even though i wasn't that happy being a witness.

  Hugs Gaping :) Welcome to the forum. THOSE OF YOU HIJACKING THIS MANS THREAD KNOCK IT OFF!

  What you are learning about what you have always thought you "knew" is very disturbing to find out. We all have and are going through that. And like when we first became witnesses, we were so enthusiastic about it that we tended to beat everybody including family members, over the head with it...so anxious were we for them to have this WONDERFUL thing we thought we had. And yeah...until someone showed us what we were looking at was a mirage, we didnt know that. Neither did you. So now you are replacing all that grey matter you wasted on the "Truth" with truth.

  Take it slow. You really dont have to talk about this to your wife. Talk here. Make this your place to vent. People all come around at their own pace...if indeed they are going to come around at all. My husband, though we are estranged, managed to stay together 22 years, and I left the witnesses at the 10th year. We went our separate ways not because he was a JW. It took a long time for him to grasp that I would respect his right to believe and he had to respect MY right to believe differently. As for our kids...we would BOTH share what we believed with them and there would be no "forcing" them to do anything. If she takes them to the kingdom hall then you are going to, as their dad, show them and tell them what YOU believe.

  It will take a long time. But hopefully your love for each other will keep the lines of communication open and she has to understand that you didnt do this to hurt her...that things happened. And for you to live a LIE and be a hypocrite and be untrue to your own conscience is just as clear to God as her beliefs are. That you cant put anything PAST God because he reads hearts.

  Whether you believe in God or not...she does and thats the position the JWs take...that God sees clear through you. So does she want you to lie for the sake of peace in the household? Because God hates that as well. Its not a great position to be in but it might appeal to her JW sense of curcular reasoning.

  Again...welcome and do tell us more about yourself k?

  When and should I tell my family I am pregnant?

  left three years ago - did the fade away and managed to avoid getting dissed.

  have been living with my boyfriend for a year and a half and am 9 wks pregnant, we are both very happy about it.

  i have been having a really hard time with the hormones and the morning sickness - cannot eat anything except crackers as it comes back up immediately and the slight smell of anything unsavoury sets me off.

  You love your baby honey...and thats the only thing that matters. Dont wait for their approval because it wont be coming. But you dont want to play their game either so I suggest you wait until the baby is born. Named. And take a cute as a bug picture of her and send it along with a note. "You have a new granddaughter. She is much loved and I hope she gets to know her family." Love, FreeNHappy!!

  I think being a JW is a suit you put on when you are in the presence of other JWs. And when you go door to door. And like an itchy wool suit in July, it comes off whenever they can take it off so they can be NORMAL and COMFORTABLE and LIVE.

  But as long as they are stuck in the JWs...they have to keep the suit.

  They need that cult controlling their lives right now like a HOLE IN THE HEAD. If Michael wanted his kids raised JWs he would have made arrangements for them to go to the hall with their aunt and grandmother a long time ago.

  Now Im hoping Debbie DOES get custody so they dont have to have THEIR childhoods ruined like their dads!
