Seat wars and Nazi attendents

memories of assemblys gone by.... does anyone remember crystal place assemblies?

the jubliee stand was the stand to be in, because it got the shade in the afternoon, wereas all the other stands would be frying.

i rember there was a mad insane dash for those seats everyday.

OTWO yep...that was the same place I went for the DC. Ah the smell of horse manure in the morning! Cleaning that crap hole before the assemblies...oh god. Yuck. Making female bathrooms out of male bathrooms to accommodate all those women and kids??? Controlling how many paper towels people were allowed to use? Covering the mirrors so that the sisters wouldnt be standing there for longer than absolutely necessary in the bathrooms?? No place to change babies or nurse??? Holy crap what a horrible experience and we did this year after year and went home exhausted from it. Spiritually recharged??? Hell no. Resentful and hating our spouses for going to work for the "trucking department" and being gone the entire assembly and leaving US with the crabby, uncomfortable, tired children ALL DAMN DAY.

Yeah...I spent a lot of those assemblies HATING those asswipes who STOLE the round seats with all the floor room in that Gold CUp room from those of us who had kids and needed it.

jackson family to host first christmasmichael jackson's family is to hold christmas celebrations for the first time this year (09) - putting their own religious beliefs aside for the superstar's three children.. the jacksons were all brought up as jehovah's witnesses, a christian-based religion which does not recognise birthdays or christmas.

but the thriller hitmaker deviated from his family's belief system and always enjoyed the holiday season with prince michael, 12, paris, 11, and seven-year-old prince michael ii.

and family matriarch katherine jackson, who has full custody of the kids, is determined to put their former traditions aside in december (09) to keep the youngsters' lives as normal as possible.

This isnt the first time mom has "participated" in birthdays and holidays. Michael threw birthday parties for his mom, and she survived with impunity. Like just sitting in the room and letting others give her gifts type thing.

I dont think anyone in the JWs believes that she is suddenly "believing" in the holidays under these circumstances.

Having been under the THUMB of a jerk husband before this JW one, I NEVER was going to allow myself to be lead around by the nosehairs by ANY male EVER again. So When I became a JW, it was a fight against the tide for me. They were constantly trying to make me "gray" when I desperately was trying to retain my individuality and my independence. Well...that only caused more chaos in my life when I married a JW and he EXPECTED me to be submissive to anything he said solely on the basis that he was the man of the house. Um...NO dude.

And particularly since he wanted me to enforce THAT scripture but the one that says he is to love his wife as he loves himself...he didnt feel he had to do and ignored me the entire 22 years we were married. Good old Bro that he is.

Dumbest Awake Title Ever?

i hold in my hand the nov. awake magazine entitled "technology - blessing or curse?"..

now, i understand the need for balance and moderation in using technology, as the magazine says - but could they come up with a more intelligent sounding title?

it makes the question sound as if abandoning technology might be a solution, a considered choice, a real possibility.

Follow up to my saga

i realize i'm a bit quiet here, and most if not all won't remember my story, so here is a brief synopsis.

i recently decided that i'd rather pursue life rather than a future life promised but not realized.

i was fortunate enough that my husband agreed in that he didn't want any man telling him what he had to do, or how to live, and so left with me.

Why are these parasite neanderthal self righteous asswipes so EAGER to DISFELLOWSHIP people and not HELP them?? I dont hear any KINDNESS. I hear PREDATORS. I hear STALKING. I hear invasion of personal SPACE?

I hate this organization. With every fiber of my being. What they do to peoples lives and they represent GOD???

How to loose a customer in two emails

today i noticed my personal website was hacked again.

over the last year my site has been hacked by several different worms that try to infect your web browser when you view my site.. these hacks are all the result of poor security measures and a gross lack of applying security patches to the hosting server.. today i had enough and emailed my hosting company to let them know that, once again, my site was hacked.

the first christmas...need help

hey everyone,.

i've decided for the first time in my life to celebrate christmas this year, just like everyone else around here.

trouble is i have no idea how to begin!

Wiz LOLOL! First Christmas is huge!~ When I got out in 97 my kids were 9, 6 and 3-1/2 and it was quite a wonderful time for all of us! My still JW husband was NOT happy about me decorating and I was NOT allowed to put anything where it could be seen from outside! So...we decorated the crap out of the back rooms of the house LOL! Started out with a little affordable pre-lit tree which you could do research on and find really cheap right now and put colored lights on it. Im with Wiz you cant have enough lights. AND it has fiber optic lights on it too so its reeeeeally pretty! You can get some great old fashioned decorations from places like Home Store and Big Lots. Got some amazingly pretty things there for very little. Get some wired ribbon to wrap around your tree to finish it off. You can change its look with different colored ribbon every year too. Get a special ornament for this critical life changing YEAR!! with a DATE on it! And get one every year with a date on it!

Invite people over...have a TREE DECORATING PARTY. Have everybody bring ONE special ornament to help with your FIRST TREE. I guarantee you will receive some really special beautiful ones!
