How would the world be different if there were no JWs?
by JW_Rogue ini think this would be a great question to ask active jws.
they love to say how the world would be so different if everyone was a jw.
however, what if we flip the question and ask, would the world really be much different if the jw faith never came into existence?

In an alternative reality, a sliding doors moment, where a guy called Chuck Russell decided to start a Pyramid Appreciation Society (instead of a bible interpretaion business) who met together once a month to talk excitedly and nerdily about the Egyptian sructures and then have a cup of coffee and cake would have avoided all the disappointments, loss of potential, poverty, suffering, mismatched marriages and needless deaths of JWs and JW kids. -

There is a new letter to elders about Child Abuse
by ttdtt inanyone see that there is a long letter on how to handle child abuse?.

The thing is they cannot exclude a parent from anything JW or no JW.
The Organization is not a substitute for the police or Child Protective Servises and elders have NO authority.
If any non-JW parent out there is excuded from anything to do with their children and WT call the police!

What will happen when they go full cult mode
by RobertT18 inand they start delivering their message of judgment?
what do you think will happen when they start knocking on doors and telling people that their families will be killed in armageddon because they did not believed in jehovah.
i'm curious how people will react.

My question to any dub considering going full retard... hhmm I mean full cult mode is this.
If the police will be hauling JW asses off to ...wherever...cult concentration camps??? which ironically sounds like life as a JW. Then why oh why does the GB need a Jollywood style broadcasting studio!!! Huh??

This letter is a shining example of Jehovah's Organization (according to Lett) doing more than anyone else to "protect our young ones" and Jehovah's Organization "abhorring child abuse" and this letter puts to rest those unfair accusations from lying apostates that JWs care more about their Talmudic rules and reputation than the welfare of it's members or the community.
NOT!!!

Single Sisters Over A Certain Age Group Getting A Bad Rap
by HiddlesWife ini'm new here; one of my relatives was a member on this forum a few years ago and told me about it.
anyways, as a sister who has been in the org since childhood and now in her late 40's (plus as a woman of color), i have noticed that a number of brothers have an ageist attitude.
they are very accepting of young women under 26 and rejecting women over that age, particularly those in their 30's and over.. is this an unspoken mindset from wthq (specifically from bethel), or is it that quite a number of males (sorry, i'm not sexist here) have this type of mentality?

Finally, an Olive Oil that reflects real women.
Now let's reverse engineer Popeye his forearm muscles are unattractively disproportionate to the rest of his body!

I conclude evolution is guided
by KateWild inyour qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.

Just a little anecdote illustrating how out of touch the typical JW is
by sir82 inthis weeks book study lesson was on martha, the sister of lazarus.
the chapter in the "imitate their faith" book praised her for being "industrious".. the conductor at our congregation meeting was just positively gushing about how "industrious" modern-day jw women are.. he was so exciting, he could barely get the words out.
following is not an exact quote, but conveys the gist:.

And don't forget that incident that involved Jesus' feet some perfumed oil, tears and hair and much caressing!
Bam, take that WT!! Women can do more than organize closets!

I assume the OP is talking about being respected as a valued member of the cong - not attraction.
