I know it's not the same as having a hard copy in your hands, but FWIW, you can access the official version of Jonsson's book at,

while doing the research over the last several years that lead me to conclude that the wt.
society was in error, i was introduced to the possibility that the writings of all scripture was completed by the early to mid 60s ce.
the reasoning that is used in the publications varies.

just curious.
add your quotes with no commentary if you like, it should be obvious why you agree.. the dangers of being deceivedthe really sad fact is that very often the person who is deceived or deluded tends to hold on to his belief in spite of strong evidence proving otherwise.
perhaps he gets so emotionally attached to his belief that he simply shuts his eyes and closes his ears to any evidence that might challenge it.. the watchtower, 01/09/ 2010 p10/11.

"Do not become an “Internet Eve.” Be critical and suspicious of the information. Before trusting it, ask: (1) Who published this material? What are the author’s credentials? (2) Why was this published? What motivated the writer? Is there any bias? (3) Where did the author get the information? Does he supply sources that can be checked? (4) Is the information current? In the first century, the apostle Paul gave Timothy advice that applies with equal force today. Paul wrote: “Guard what is laid up in trust with you, turning away from the empty speeches that violate what is holy and from the contradictions of the falsely called ‘knowledge.’”—1 Tim. 6:20."

"We found that for many people in Mexico, the piñata has lost its religious significance and is considered by most to be just harmless fun. ...
"... A main concern is, not what the practice meant hundreds of years ago, but how it is viewed today in your area. Understandably, opinions may vary from one place to another. Hence, it is wise to avoid turning such matters into big issues."

the end of the world.
last autumn, jussi k. began to plan his disassociation from jehovah's witnesses.
i've been visiting here for about a year or so, but didn't really feel compelled to participate other than reading the various posts that interested me.. there's been that uncomfortable feeling of being disloyal to god, the organization, many friends and relatives.. i've been associated since birth.
after 65 + years of service within this organization and actually enjoying that time, it troubled me to find myself wanting to express feelings that were contrary to all that time of "faithfulness".
those years were filled with progressive "privileges and responsibilities" even at a high level, and there was considerable success in our evangelizing activity.
Welcome stirred.
That is some tall order - deconstructing and reconstructing your belief system after 65+ years in the Org. Your feelings of being 'disloyal' are normal, especially for a long-timer with many decades of conditioning, and they will fade over time as you gain confidence in your new loyalty to what is actually truthful.
Looking forward to reading more from you.

*Whistles* Woweee. Stunning property. Beautiful views.
Has the WTS actually bought it, transaction complete, or is it still in the process?
i know this might be overreacting, and i have not said a peep about it to my kids or anyone else... .
last week, my kids wanted to call my mom during the day.
on her last visit, they had talked about calling her on her day off at home.
I wouldn't sweat it, her choice of topic ... unless the kids haven't had a conversation with their grandma in a while, and grandma didn't ask them about their lives, how was school, what fun things they'd been doing recently, etc., and the topic of weather was just filler for those short 5 minutes ... then I'd sweat it.
so what does everyone think this far?
please theist feel free to add your opinions if you e watched so you can also appreciate certain facts weve learned....and hey theres speculation too!
but non judgmental speculation;-).
Once I got past the 'this feels a little too Star Trek New Generation for me' and 'what's with the cartoons?' and concentrated on the message/info, I started to like it and look forward to each episode. Good for kids especially, I think.
The most irritating thing is the theme music reminds me of a Watchtower video production. There's just something about its style. Bring back Vangelis.

gentlemen and ladies:.
manifestly, you appreciate the value of marketing as can be seen by the launch of jw.org.
LOLOL! Internet access for every publisher and interested person in developing countries. Oh the possibilities. Brilliant. Listen to the man, WTBTSoP
does anyone know of a wt or wt book, that states abraham will be tested again and then judged based on his deeds during the millenium?.
essentiallly claiming that, after god testing abraham, with the sacrifice of isaac, he will tell him that he has to pass the same test that the resurrcted unrighteous have to pass.
i know that this is a teaching that is required by holding to the 2 class belief, but i haven't found any artocles on it.. any ideas?.
*** Rev. Climax (1988, 2006) chap. 40 p. 290 par. 15 Crushing the Serpent’s Head ***
Similarly, pre-Christian witnesses of Jehovah were declared righteous as to friendship with God; and Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were spoken of as “living” even though they were physically dead. (Matthew 22:31, 32; James 2:21, 23) However, they and all others who are resurrected, as well as the great crowd of faithful other sheep who survive Armageddon and any children that may be born to these in the new world, must yet be raised to human perfection. This will be accomplished by Christ and his associate kings and priests during the thousand-year Judgment Day, on the basis of Jesus’ ransom sacrifice. By the end of that Day, “the rest of the dead” will have “come to life” in the sense that they will be perfect humans. As we shall see, they must then pass a final test, but they will face that test as perfected humans. When they pass the test, God will declare them worthy of living forever, righteous in the fullest sense. They will experience the complete fulfillment of the promise: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) What a delightful future is in store for obedient mankind!
we have often heard about the need to "put on the 'new personality'" as a jw.... but i have realised something in these last few years of awakening to the ttatt...i dont like what i had become as a 'good' jw!.
i realised that being a 'good' jw made me very:.
critical of my fellow man,.
I wasn't stressed by the impending Armageddon. What stressed me was having to 'perform' on the Org's constant hamster wheel of expectations to do things that weren't 'me' and block off things that I would have liked to have done ('theocratic' time constraints or disapproved of or viewed as frivolous - after all, there's eternity to do that). It was stressful being among warped ideas and attitudes, even while still mentally in the JW paradigm.
I didn't like being 'on the clock' all the time, seeing 'worldly' people as either prospective converts (on the lookout for opportunities to make my sales pitch but usually letting those opportunities pass, then feeling guilty) or as people to keep at arm's length.
The perpetual state of 'alert' and judgmentalism that the Org keeps whipping up does nothing for anybody's long-term mental health.
Over the years, as I've let go, it's meant that I feel like I'm actually living life now rather than treading water till the New World. I'm generally more confident and relaxed (I still have a long way to go, however, but that's due to going the fade route) and I'm increasingly seeing people as fellows of my community instead of 'outsiders' to be wary of or to recruit.
I bumped into a JW acquaintance recently who complimented me on how well I looked and asked if we were still on 'sabbatical.' I said, "Yes ... and we're happier for it ... as strange as that sounds." I could see that it didn't compute.
