  I didn't care, because I felt like he needed it ... A friend is a friend male or female ... And you know what ? Even if he had sleep with them, I wouldn't care that much he would have done it anyway ... till I don't have to suffer about it (we broke because one of her so called friend messed up our relationship, calling me, coming knoking on my door and stuff we wasn't even leaving together my boyfriend and I ... that was too much !!!)... I thought if he is not able to protect me from this kind of girl, our relationship couldn't just go further (then yes ...It became painfull)

  what was the most influential saying/person that changed you ???

  if there was one thing that affected me most was, i would have to say the time i ran into a brother (while i was still in the borg) in the downtown area.. he said "just take one year off, no meetings, no service, no assemblies, no talks, nothing, just take a break, and you will see the wathctower differently, and your mind will clear.".

  at the time i just shrugged it off as a bitter jw who left, now when i look back, it was probaly the biggest thing that someone ever said to me, and he was right, 100%.. was there a saying, an occurrence or a person that just got you thinking about how ridiculous the watchtower is ??

  i have been reading posts for a while, but everytime i try and post my intro, i dont know what to say, so i suppose i will just write what comes to me.

  lets see, i was born and raised in the "truth", i have never known anything else my whole life, so this is weird for me to think differently.

  i was df'd about 4 years ago when i met my "worldly" husband, i have tried for the past 2 years to be reinstated, but i guess that i have not tried hard enough, according to the elders (who btw have not been very nice or loving toward me).

  What Makes A Person Black?

  obviously athletes linford christie and carl lewis are black.

  but how about persons of mixed parentage, are they considered to be black too?.

  how about my son's old girl friend whose grandmother was from the phillipines, is she black because her skin had a slight (and very beautiful) brownish glow that came from her ancestor?.

  Even if only your great, great, great, great, great grandmother was black, you're still considered to be black.

  well ya ... by who ? lots of white people are in this situation you know. For example some people in the Antiguas for example are called white (but everybody in the island knows that they've got at least one ancestor black in the last 3 to 4-5 ... génération) told you it depend on who wants to define it ... and Why

  • they will say the guy is white (their choice)
  • And you will say this guy is black (your choice - du to your bad experience I think and feelings about that) but if you don't know and can't see it well you will consider that the guy is white !

  If your parents feel sick about telling you that you've got a black ancestor ... you'll never know ... (Italiens and sicilians just forgot about it and are even known to tend to be very racist !!!)

  If you are the one you may don't know (Parent's may hide it) and if you ain't got a least 2 very specifique features like colored skin, big nose or nappy hair. Who's gonna say you're black ? Told you, even some white people got those specifiques features without having a colored skin but they are called white ... Lots of Bretons here have nappy hair and big nose but they are white and are considered as white here.
