  encouraged by the current situation in gaza, i am reading edward said's book 'covering islam'.

  he quotes c. wright mills to explain how we just receive the 'truths' others have observed, and why we do so without questioning.

  i find it very relevant in the case of religion as well, being such an important part of the 'cultural apparatus'.

  "You are good people"

  this story goes back 2 years, when my girlfriend and i traveled to my homecountry in south america to spend the summer visiting my family and friends.

  although i was still attending the meetings back then, i had already been inactive for a while.

  the developments since that visit have been slow but dramatic, and my perception of the people inside the organization has changed greatly.

  A numerology of sorts...

  i remember seeing the warwick promotional video, and wondering if the wt had found a street with the name king's on purpose, or if it was just a coincidence.

  now, i had never noticed that the address for one of the kingdom halls in cleveland, ohio, has a very interesting number.

  see for yourself the pictures i took yesterday, or googlemap the address: 1914 e 75th st, cleveland.. in any case, finding a location with a specific number seems to me like going out of their way for no reason, or is it perhaps -simply put- superstition???.

  ok, sometimes i go to jw.org just to laugh a bit about the 'food at the proper time', and i would like to know what people think of this hillarious article 'am i attracted to the same sex.

  does that mean i am gay?'.

  this has to be one of the most remarkable pieces of logic (last paragraph of the article).. the bibles stand is not unreasonable.
