but because of winter, i will stop in on occasion and share some interesting insights.
One thing of note about the "good Samaritan" was that he was from an Apostate Nation, and yet he kindly helped out a Jew! (God's People at the time)
So, I wonder nowadays if an "apostate" was in dire trouble, would a Witness stop and help them out??

Yes, I knew they did a marking talk about me for "apostasy" and "independent researching"... within a week, dozens dropped me off social media.
THEN the rumour mill went wild and I heard that gossip of my "sin" was actually some of the most distorted stuff you could imagine! And witnesses say they don't lie?! Haha
I guess it makes them feel better if some elaborate concocted story is spread rather that the facts. That lets them off the emotional hook as they remember that I only ever did things to help them ...yet they can conveniently forget that and enjoy a slanderous story instead.

Yes, why is some of the old law used as a verbatim "principle" (command) by witnesses nowadays, yet other stuff is ignored?
For instance they take the scripture about "no tattoos" literally, yet the very next verse about not shaving off your beard is said to NOT apply now?
If god is supposed to "never change" , why do the rules change?
And anyway, were not the Jews abandoned by God for being unfaithful? So why should anything from that time be even a "principle"?

It says NOT to treat such ones as an enemy...not to ignore them and stop associating with them.
So now that gives the green light to witnesses to form their own personal "disfellowshipping" standards!?!
so i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.
he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".
he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.
So Nik, what are they going to do for your wife who is under stress as you say? Lift a finger to help, or just wheel out some regurgitated scriptures for her?
They don't have any business involving themselves in your lives, unless they plan on actually helping with something tangible? Monetary costs perhaps?? Thought not...
Seriously, keep your dignity, but don't enter into anything with them.
it's come out in my old congregation that, not one, but two child molesters have been hiding in my old congregation.
i knew both of them and one of them, an old man, was regularly at my house for field service meetings on a weekly basis.. in my old congregation there's an apostate who was awake long before i was.
unfortunately he cant leave because his wife and children and parents are still full on believers.
Where was the "Holy Spirit" during all those years of abuse?
