  i see there has already been discussion over lloyd’s new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.

  this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.

  i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.

  Lets put this into perspective people.

  Lloyd has Patreon supporters who choose to donate a small amount each month to assist him in producing his fine work.

  I believe that he only has 30 or so people that do that! The most anyone donates is approx. $30 per month that I know of. So 30 people, each donating $30 equals a grand sum of $900 per month! If that! (some people only donate $5 or $10)

  So he is hardly getting rich off this! Try living on $900 per month!

  He literally spends whole days at a time producing the work. What do we earn for a full day's work? Likely more that he would ever be making from the returns on his book sales.

  Rather than looking for reasons to hate, maybe we should be thankful for the aspects of his work that we have individually benefitted from...basically FOR FREE!

  australians are becoming less religious so congregations are getting smaller.

  and believe me they are all still totally oblivious to all the negative news about the pedophiles and shunning that have come under scrutiny by the media and other governments.

  It will probably be a "generational" thing.

  The born in children will mostly leave, and very few will ever come into the org from the territory.

  Hence, as the old-timers die off, the numbers will fall...

  Sexual repression and control are a hallmark of high control religious groups.

  It adds to the narrative that "you are sinful and imperfect and in need of divine favour"

  The WT org is also drawing more attention to the topic by continuing to bang on about it!

  this thread is prompted by losch's stupid 'decrees' in the march 2018 broadcast, where he denounced online information that may be 'negative' about the organization.. it strikes me that the gb are so dumb!

  I hear you Carla! My very-in Elder father is the same.

  I consider him to be a fairly intelligent man in most other areas of life, with the ability to analyse things.....but NOT when it comes to matters of faith and JW stuff in general.
