"come back to the loving congregation" or words to that effect..

funny thoughts when pondering the actions of god
by confusedandalone inisnt it interesting that if god needs to warn millions of people that they need to change he talks to like 1 guy and tells this one guy to talk to 1 million people or 7million to talk to 7billion people.
it would obviously be easier faster and far more convincing.. .
yet when alot of people need to die.... he will personal kill each one.

ask a jw why they don't celebrate holidays and they'll tell you it's because of some nefarious pagan connection.

didnt he create mothers and tell us to respect and honour them?
anything at all that the world has reason to celebrate, we have to not only 'uncelebrate it' but go around condemning in a condescending manner!
cant witnesses see that people are actually trying to do something nice, and show decency to another person? No one is doing it to worship a "mother god" from a pagan background!

How Do You Come to Terms with Being Just One of the 7 Billion?

when i found out ttatt i realized i'm not special at all.
i'm just one of the other 7 billion human beings who will live and die being nobody, the world will forget about them (and i'm not talking about relatives and friend), they didn't make anything special in their life, they didn't change the course of history, were not famous nor rich, didn't invent facebook, google or anything awesome, didn't have an article published in newscientist, had no imdb profil, not even a wiki page, didn't write a book etc.

Life is what we make of it.
We can choose to be happy or sad, we can choose to be positive or negative.
But...hang on...no, unless we are part of a 100ish year old religion, we will be tortured and destroyed, as our blood splashes to the heights of the bridles of horses (revelation book reference)...even those little sweet kids playing happily in the park will be killed because they are part of the 7 Billion non witnesses...
ahh...witnesses actually beleive this? WE actually used to beleive this??

How ironic that even the update of the updated Revelation book is not even available on the JW.org site anywhere!
Yes, that is correct...try finding the revelation climax book anywhere on the official site. I bet they hope it just fades away and no one ever remembers that book of "old light"

Critical Thinking from the Wife !!
by TTATTelder inthe other day i had a couple of drinks and went off on the gb (again), about how they are just posturing and have no clue.
i said if they knew what they were talking about we would already be in the new world, but we're not ..so they dont...the end.. well i got some push back as would be expected, but what surprised me was what she said a little later.
firstly she didn't pay attention to the public talk this past sunday and instead read an article in a watchtower on stress.

Definately dont appear too eager and get too excited when she raises a point.
Play it cool and calm and almost 'non fussed' even if inside you are jumping for joy. If someone who raises an point of observation senses that we are ready to jump on the topic and slam more TTATT, it could send them running the opposite way and they could pull their head back into the tortoise shell and we could lose them forever.
It is far better to allow someone to wake slowly for themselves than to drag them out of slumber!
