They could eliminate the bookstudy some years ago because most of those were in homes, no donations being made. Going from two day to one day circuit assemblies works because they assess a per publisher cost to every circuit already anyway. They will just continue to assess this cost to the circuits. I will be surprised if the 3 day regional conventions go to two only because these are cash cows for the organization. I have worked in the accounting departments at disctrict conventions for many years and a convention of 7000 in attendance pulls in nearly 100,000 dollars. Adjust for the economic climate of the location of the convention. Hence you never hear an accounts report at a district, now regional convention. Making these conventions larger eliminates the cost of renting facilities while still having the same amount of publishers to donate.

being a born in and living most of my life hearing how tv evangelism is wrong and lazy preaching yet seeing this unfold solidifies this religion as a cult!.
i remember back when i began my fade a few years ago i told my brother during an argument how this religion is just like any other religion in that its bull.

I absolutely agree they do tricks to keep the numbers up. They allow 30 hour auxiliary pioneering now when it was sixty just 15 years ago. 90 hours down to 70 for regular pioneers. 15 minutes per month can be reported for field service allowing those people to be counted as publishers. But the ONLY number that actually matters is their cash number, and as of now they are flush with it. Branding and dumbing things down has worked very well. When there is a doctrinal change, JWs don't even know what the old light was so the new light doesn't matter to them at all. I think they have done a fantastic rebranding job of themselves and as of now have secured their finances. Doctrine being right or wrong is meaningless even to die hards. The org is around to stay for long after any of us.

this will strengthen the opposition and give something to refer too that is concrete evidence of crazy town in the jw headquarters.
there will be screen captures and clips that will be used all the time on youtube accounts to show the ttatt.

Outlaw I couldn't agree more. The org is just beginning it's change and the JWs love it all. They made a billion dollars on sales of their buildings and it has been estimated that due to free labor that the new headquarters only costs 11.5 million. The JWs love it all and really don't care at all about 100 years of invisible rule or doctrine changes. The org will be around for longer than any of us will be alive. There is no sky falling or organization demise, in fact they have massive cash. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

WT for this Sunday...You are My Witnesses
by Legacy inwt 7/15/2014....page 27...question # 17...what will we consider in the next article...paragraph 17...but how can we be jehovah witnesses and at the same time be witnesses of jesus....well well well...i think they really got the point...all through the greek scriptures, that's what jesus has been saying...we are to witness about him....in the hebrews scriptures was about jehovah god, most of the world got that.
now jehovah, put another spoke in the wheel his son...jesus...that's who paul has been talking about all along...that he was witness of jesus, paul knew who god was.
i think the society monitors sites like these & others & found out....they may have been, uh...wrong....wonder how are they going to spin this one off....i won't read the next article just yet... comments anyone ..... legacy.

I read the article and it really doesn't explain clearly how they are witnesses of Jesus. There is just a lot of read this paragraph about Jesus doing this and that but then no explanation of what the article was supposed to be about. Interestingly this is the first time I've seen them say 27 years after pentacost 33 ce the truth of the good news was preached to all jews and gentiles in all creation under heaven in paragraph 8.

I was once in your shoes as many were and decided I would just keep going in the organizaiton knowing it had flaws. Here is the problem I ran into. As time goes on the organization gets dumber and dumber. Soon you start seeing just how ridiculous things are and how they will change anything they want to advance their agenda. I use the example of the overlapping generatioin. Their agenda is to keep everyone belieiving the end is very close. It's obvious this teaching is actually stupid, but you can't help but see it for what it is. Then you'll have conversations with JWs that eat it up and just believe no matter what they are told. Eventually you start realizing you are wasting your time and your life at meetings, field service, and whatever else because it actually accomplishes nothing for you. I actually started researching beliefs of the witnesses and realized using the bible, the resurrecton idea was invalid, the 144,000 was invalid, and really you can make a case for and against the trinity using the bible. Anyone can do as they please and continue on in the org, for me I realized I was wasting my own valuable time to "exist" in the organization. Sure there are great, nice people in the org but guess what, there are great nice people in every religion, as well as great nice people that are agnostic and atheist. My advice would be to do what makes you happy. If that means staying as witness then be happy.
