Preaching is done virtually if at all. So, this sentence does not make any sense:

The apps are free of cost, internet is already paid for by the user, why does WT need more money to support worldwide preaching works as there is hardly any worldwide preaching work that is on account (dollars) of WT?

Curious to know the Zoom attendance figures for for the memorial

i’m just curious to know the local attendance figures for the memorial.

my father told me they had an attendance of 140. not flattering for a cong of 100 pubs.

i was sort of surprised at this considering the quarantine measures and everyone being forced to stay at home.

The WT is only interested in numbers that support them, that make them shine. My company reports how many of our colleagues globally got infected, have died and that have recovered.

The WT never publishes anything like this, nor on a country level and not even on congregation level. They seem not to care who suffers and/or died.

Are We Living In The Last Days?

I'd like to say that from the first day one is born, that person lives in his final days. Why, every day the person lives, that person comes close this his/her end. On average these last days last some 75 years.

My answer to the above: if the bible verses that are used for the "last day" prophesy were written say between AD 35 and AD 100, what would all the people who read these verses during say AD35 and AD 1900 have thought? Also that they were in the last days? If so, their hope was idle as the world is still around.

Then I would say: if I would join your organisation out of fear of being destroyed, would my choice be out of love or fear? Should people choose to worship a god out of fear or out of love? If the latter, it does not matter in which period we live, as the choice will be made out of love. So, therefore, your doomsday message will only attract people who will have fear, fear to be destroyed.

I am actually surprised they suggested to have a look on a non-JW site (CDC in this case). I think a link to WHO would have been better but hey....you got start somewhere.

But of course, all the credits for the good advice go to the WT....... pffff

Since when are the R&F considered to be sheep??

Further, in the letter, there is not even one mentioning of Jesus.......amazing considering that He is supposed to be the Head of the congregations.

the behavior from the org lately had me a bit confused, as it seemed to fall outside of their norm.

i'm not talking the hardcore armageddon wishers texting each other about peace and security, etc.

* but, the elders contacting people daily, and having extra meetings where they have all their additional rules.

I guess most JW's suddenly see that other religions do a lot more to help people, also non-religious organisation etc. All this is reported in the news. WT might see the threat that their R&F can start to join these non-JW approved activities. So, they decided to mimic these acts of charity but of course, only among themselves.
