My daughter's wedding dilemma

she and her future husband are not jehovah's witnesses.

i don't ever remember hearing at my baptism nor any other baptism of a jw.

the person giving the baptism talk or person doing the dunking saying that i/we are baptized in the name of the father, son and holy spirit.. so i have come to the conclusion that my/our baptism's are not official.

When i got baptised, i also had in mind that i was dedicating my life to jehovah thru jesus with the holy spirit. As i go on through this religion "If you could call it that" i too see manipulation and mind control. When I think about it....is this what Jesus truely wanted Christianity to really be? NO.....but my deep love for my wife keeps me in. But, I will not let my kids get baptised in the JW's...i encourage free thinking, college, freindship from good people weither or not they are JW or worldly..but to honest with you. All the JW kids they have meet are disrespectful buttheads. We don't associate with them. just world people.

i just wanted to openly apologize to anyone that i have ever offended on this website.

i have been thinking about this lately.

we all seem to go through the same various stages of learning ttatt, anger, sorrow, frustration, bible champion, agnostic, atheist, ect.

Wow, so interesting...peel back the layers and you see that their crap just gets deeper and deeper. IMHO i would be willing to bet that very few witness sheep actualy realize their baptism is a sham.

D.D. i have only read a couple of your response.....very funny. that's what life is about. I will tell you what i told a JW onetime which they didn't like to hear. I didn't become a witness nor serve JESUS or JEHOVAH (which I do believe whole heartedly...and believe Jesus is my savior...but the BORG has it all wrong) that I don't live my life to have Friends! if someone likes me...then it for who i am! we were brought into this world alone and leave alone. so while your hear make yourself your best friend and love yourself!

Had an argument with my wife about tinkerbell :(

one of my co workers mother made my 4 year old a blanket with the disney character tinkerbell on it.

as soon as i got it i knew trouble lay ahead.

i wanted to reason with her before my daughter saw it so as not to cause a disruption, but it didn't work out that way.

hello BU2B, sorry to hear about your turmoil...not sure how much you love your wife and such. but if it's worth saving your marriage and family. Be patient and keep taking it slow. keep showing her in the bible how what she has learned is not the truth. Focus on the new testament, bring Jesus into your lives. Remember Jesus said..i am the way the truth and the light. He did not mention anything about the borg.

Yesterday, i was telling my wife happy mothers day. at first she gave me this look. then we discussed it and i reasoned with her that there is no where in the bible the forbids it. i also tell my kids happy birthday.

Remember the Borg took there time to brainwash them...it will take you time to undo it. but take it slow...don't force it. miss meeting and field service, show her the world will not end. and by all means make it always sound like it was her idea.

you can take a horse to water, but cant make it drink. but, if it's there idea..they will. make her feel empowered.

I agree with Captain Obvious, take it slow. My wife also doesn't comment, were always late to meetings and miss often. she truely doesn't understand what the there doctrine is based on. But, feels guilty if we don't go. guess thats part of the cult control. I go just for her, because she is all that matters to me in this world. when there it is amusing to see the person on the stage regurgitating stuff they may not believe. but have to do it because of the perverbial gun to there head. I often sit and wonder if the elders/MS actually believe the crap they are spewing, because they sure as hell can't back it up.

I stepped down from MS because I could not stand myself spewing crap I didn't agree with or do. Like no higher education, are you kidding me....I have a degree and I will damned if my kids don't get one. They are going to be educated and be productive members of society. I consider myself faded but going thru the motions because I love my wife more than this DAMN regligion. Hopefully she will open her eyes one day!!!

I also agree, it was very confusing...slight of hand. didn't get angry though, i don't donate and plan not to anymore. i feel they get enough money for something that is free! as far as the halls mortgage debt being forgiven. really? it not like it's going to pay off a real mortgage anyways...it's just something to say to make the sheep feel warm and fuzzy.

not only from the bank accounts of the sheep, but soon after from the bulk of money in kingdom hall accounts worldwide!.

question: has anyone calculated how much cash could be grabbed from the 113,823 congregations on earth?.

I quit contributing once I became the accounts servent. I saw how much money was being brougt in to our hall and thought...hmmm if all the halls around the world are contributing this amount give or take a couple of hundred dollars, I did some simple math and estimated the BORG gets about $300,000,000 million a year. now imagine getting more due to strong arming people to tithe say around $600,000,000 guranteed due to guilt techniques and brain washing practices and wow you have a new vatican. All they need is a city they could make into a country and bada bing babylon the great has arisen....makes the Catholics look good. where in the hell does all the money go?

they don't help the poor, the don't help the infirmed, nor the homeless, nor people who have blindly given there whole life to them, and for what. something that is already guranteed in the bible through Jesus that is FREE!

And if your late paying the BORG...man, they will let you know. Just like a loan shark or the mafia. Pay up sucker!!!! is what comes to mind. So, no I will not be signing sh*t. those greedy bastards could stick there money where it belongs. up there arse!!!!!
