current update- the wife and i are separated.
i dont go to the meetings or in service but im not df, or da.
she is not budging.. problem- my wife has made it clear that she doesnt want me back unless i do all the witness stuff, i have even offered to attend meetings but not participate in commenting or go in service and this is not good enough.
i am in the same situation. she is ok when not in cult mode. but, when she is in cult mode...it sucks. and these people call themselves christians.
i could only hope she wakes up before we get divorced.
getting involved with this cult is the biggest mistake of my life.

and quite often, there may be new people and lurkers reading these discussions.
i just wanted you to ponder these questions.

so, i was reading combating cult mind control....and i was just thinking: since i've been doing research and learning about the false doctrines of the wtbs and others who are still asleep.
the more i accept that all is not right, the more i see the depression that many in the org.
are going through, the more i see the "human" side of things, the more i compare the average uber dub to the average mainstream christian.....the more i recognize how this cannot be jah's organazation.

for one thing - the bible certainly explains all the details of the christ birth.
it certainly does not tell people to avoid celebrating it with feasts, customs, etc.

it is killing me now that i am awake, having kids in school and having to be jws.
birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, having to go home or be left out because their teachers know they are witnesses and/or have kids from the school in their class or grade.
it's a small town so the other jws in the hall know what's going on since their kids are in the same school.

so recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".
statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".
or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.
wet and disappointed......worst mistake of mylife.

i work about a block from the local kh and i notice there was no jw.org sign on it.
i said to my wife are they not following the cults rules on this.
will just yesterday as i was driving home from work there it was on the corner of the kh sign jw.org it was about 1 foot x 1 foot in size.
like one the way out,,,i turn my head the other way. i get a disgusted feeling inside me, and think of the worst mistake i ever made in my life. shite, there it goes again...that feeling. Got to stop thinking about it.
this cult will destroy my marriage and family. It sucks, knowing a train is coming down the tracks and no way to get off.
