hi, i'm a newbie around here.

i've been reading the posts, but reluctant to step out of my safe zone.

i definitely see how coming to a safe place to ask questions, vent, etc.

hello Myjourney, welcome to the board. i have found many nice people here that i could talk with. mainly because they understand. Rest assured though.....you cannot trust any JDUB at the hall, no matter how relaxed you think they are. they are cult minded.

if it's a person not associated with the dub's, talking with them is good. but very hard...because they don't understand. to a person who is not brainwashed, the things the dub's do is so trivial.

tread lightly, Read Steve Hassan books, Crisis of Consience.

take it slow and always remember it's a cult. once your awake to TTATT, you can't undo it.

tonight as i was putting my son to bed, we were looking out his bedroom window from his bed, down upon the neighbors' house across the street.

they have a beautiful, big sparkly christmas tree in their front window and my son gazed at it and said, "that's what's missing from our family.

" talk about daggers through the heart!.

Christmas Eve Afternoon

well, it's christmas eve afternoon here now in the uk.. traditionally a time when all the panic shopping is over, what's done is done, what you've forgotten you've forgotten, time to raise a glass (or two) and relax.. so may i wish all members/readers/posters a very happy xmas, whether you celebrate it or not, and extra 'get up and go' for 2015.. best wishes to all.. .

How do you overcome this JW excuse?

during one of those meetings that took place before my jc, one of the elders, who was a good friend of mine back then and used to come up with a few outlandish personal views about some teachings, attempted to counter one of my arguments like this:.

eden - "well, if the truth doesn't change, why is it that what we teach as 'truth' has changed over the years (several examples given)?

how can we dogmatically claim at any given moment that we have 'the truth' if our teachings keep changing?".

one dictionary defines naive as;generally speaking,to be naive means you do not think enough.people who are "naive" tend to beleive in whatever they are told,without questioning whether it is right or wrong.i think this defines jw because they accept whatever the group of 7 tells them.ex.the several definations of a generation.or the end is near see wt 2000 etc.. these people are naive,because they believe that people like himmler regret sending all jews to the gas chamber( quote from internet).

i agree with all and please add low I.Q's.....my wife definetly has a low I.Q. when it comes to being a self thinker about the BORG.

It is going to be the ruin of my marriage...

I wish i could turn back time and never got involved....i have taken so much from my kids because of this cult. it has brought out the cult personality in her.

THE REALITY OF REFUSING BLOOD - as it happened

so very sad...my wife has told me she would not take blood...not even fractions. i told her i would....she cried. really! she is so brain washed.

it sickens me....it's such a freaking cult.

as we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.

i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.

what about you?.

1 nov 2013 watchtower stating something to the effect: "even if your given instruction that sounds unreasonable from a human stand point...to just obey blindly." I knew right then, it was a cult.

9 i was looking for information on how to step down as a MS. and i stumbled on this site. that's when the flood gates opened.

my wife has told me she will choose the watchtower over me. it's a hard thing to hear...we have been married for 26 years. if she chooses this...it was a good ride before we joined the cult 6 years ago and baptized 4 years.

it will be hard...but i will survive if it comes to this. with lots of councelling.

i that hate this religion..the worse mistake of my life. it will destroy my marriage and pull apart my family.
