  "half a day to get the toxins out of your system"- great quote. The JW family drama IS a bit much.

  We have been trying to be a bit over the top happy and friendly whenever we run into JW family or locals. Saying we are doing FANTASTIC, we have been BLESSED and how are YOU and your FAMILY doing?? really seems to cause confusion and discomfort for hard core JWs. For those on the fence it gives them hope there is a great life outside the borg. They have been brainwashed that sadness and devil will grab anyone who leaves..a happy life is the best response to shunning.

  it looks as if the gb are blundering around and really showing themselves up for the buffoons they are.

  all the stupidity about tight trousers is laughable and if the general public were to see these selfmportant cult leaders blabbing this stuff then the last shred of their credibility would be destroyed.........perhaps.. the wbt$ seem to have dug themselves into a deep pit of no escape with their lies, new light(tm), paedophile protection and all the other nauseating peripherals they have.. we also suspect that the wbt$ have their spies here because they are either predictable or get ideas form forums like this.. so!

  Abandon all the 15th century mumbo -Jumbo. Salem Mass. Puritans would feel at home as modern day Jehovah's Witnesses. Stop labeling all free thinking and discussion as Apostacy. Stop the "spiritual burning" and banishment of "Heritics" and petty sinners.

  1. Accept common separation of Church and State concepts of the 16th Century. If a crime has been commited by a member REPORT it to Ceasar.

  2. At a minimum accept blood prohibitions of Orthadox Jews ie: LIFE is sacred..NOT blood. Blood REPRESENTS LIFE. Get OUT of practicing medicine without a license. Accept medically needed transfusions.

  3. Pick a team. If they want to be Jews, accept ALL levitical prohibitions and OPEN Courts. IF they want to be Christians, Be Christians, and stop adding Bronze age mumbo jumbo rules.

  4. If they choose to be a Christian faith, decide if they are Catholic or not. JWs have adopted the structure of the Catholic church with confessions, Cardinals and Popes.

  5. If they want any respect as "Christians" show some Christlike humility, apologise and stop the lies, fraud ("spiritual warfare"), SCAMs (RBC remodels, Assembly hall accounting fraud, Disaster insurance scams, Loans, etc).

  Wow- this list could go on and on..........

  Anyone know of df'ing for taking a br. to Court (esp. if Cdn)?

  most jw's have been told that taking a fellow jw to court is wrong.. the shepherd book uses wts speak: "if an individual ignores god's word on this matter, it may affect his congregation privileges.

  Why do "Awake" vloumes only start at 1970 on computer disk?...interesting!

  yet watchtowers go way back to 1950's....i picked up three awake volumes 1967-1969 i was struck by the poor science {aluminium is posion}, demon articles and anti-organ transplant articles.

  also much was said about 1975 being the end of the system and "the generation.

  " it feels like fred franz was writting alot of these which now is plain embarrasing and better left un-published.. .

  Inactive for how long?

  as the title says: how long does it take to be inactive in fs before some elders comes knocking on the door?

  or calling or whatever... any experiences?

  I think it just depends on your local elders.

  Looking back I realize I was one of the hounders. I was a Cool-aid drinking, over earnest Elder who pestered everyone for their time and would coach people to turn in even one hour. I also visited inactive JWs in the territory every couple of months, to be honest I just felt people were burned out or discouraged would would leave the book bag and tie in the car. I never once even thought someone was a festering apostate, nor did I admonish someone who had "Questions".

  Officially you are Inactive after 6 months(unless someone turned in 15 minutes for you), but some C.O.s will make sure you are called and visited during their visit for a year or two...unless the elders can tell him you moved.

  it seems like every couple of months i notice we've acquired a new religious nut and they have been posting away, annoying everyone and filling the forum with crap.

  it's disheartening to see people (even moderators!

  ) have been having conversations with them and there are pages and pages of insults and crap - we're going to try and avoid this in future.

  New requirement to become an Elder or Ministerial Servant!

  it has been a few months since i hear this from an elder.

  he said that the c/o told them this new requirement.. "men that wanna be an elder or ministerial servant has to go out to field service on sundays.

  if there is an elder or ministerial servant that is not going out to field service on sunday can lose the priviledge".

  WOW!! I have heard "Taking a VISIBLE lead in field service" in the past. Never Sunday.

  One Elder said I was "missing meetings" years ago "by working on Saturdays"and he repeated that to the C.O. I took him in the back room quickly with 2 other Elders, and asked him to "show me that in writing". He couldn't so I accused him of "running ahead, slander, and apostacy" in front of two Elders...they busted up laughing, he turned red, stuttered and apologised. lol- the guy hated me after that-
