list a scripture that is way over used.. it could be a scripture that the point is completely missed by how they use it.
it could also be one that they use so much it's as if the rest of the bible didn't exits.. my two favorite are proverbs 4:18 and ezekiel chapter 1 +a few verses.

Arranged Marriages really have nothing to do with the witnesses. I have heard of cases, but they were connected to cultures where arranged marriages are common place.
Maybe there is high pressure to marry a spiritual gazelle in the hall, pressure to end relationships with someone is in people eyes spiritually weak. Those situations are a lot more regular.
But arranged marriage for the most part has no connection to the witness faith.

Experience in a talk
by Da.Furious inlast week we had an elder giving a talk, cant remember the title.. the thing that was of interest is the experience he gave:.
"a brother who was working in a hospital had to leave his job which was paying him good money because the nurses wanted to sleep with him and they kept putting notes for him on his desk!".
this is not the first time i hear similar experience.

A nurse probably complimented his appearance and his brain viewed that as a sexual advance.
I have heard these stories from so many I think they are all BS (maybe I am envious though growing up a witness where were all these girls waiting to rip my clothes off and take advantage of me)

Can you easily work a trade in the States and work part time?
I work in the trades and it does pay very well, but there is no part time, long overtime hours a lot of work on Saturdays. Most brothers I knew who also worked in the trades were all full time workers. Not Pioneering. Many did kill themselves working Mon - Fri, then would do hall builds on the weekend.
Joke is most of them were looked down on for spending time at hall builds and not service on the weekend.

by piztjw injust a few instructions orders from mother about motels.. please use only hotels that appear on the recommended lodging list.
(one page, with only one motel locally).
one nights deposit (credit card, money order, etc.,) is required, and should be sent to the hotel within ten days of making your reservation.

Pro tip.
Go to the earliest meeting held in the week, Tuesday or Monday. Write down the number and make your reservation in the car or toilet stall before anyone else can.

Wedding question
by lostinthought incan a witness get in trouble for attending an inactive family members wedding?
just wondering because i am getting married this summer and my mom tried to blackmail me by saying she and other family members would attend but only if i returned to the meeting.
i told her i am not going back to the meetings.

If your marrying a non-wittness, they could lose some privilidges. For supporting someone who is not marrying in the lord.
Depends on the elder body though.
Has nothing to do with you attending or not attending meetings. More to due if you are marrying in the lord or not.

& They Say Privileges In The Congregation Isnt a Status
by thedepressedsoul inim sure you all have heard at one point or read that being an elder or ms isnt a position higher up but rather that you work under the congregation.. anthony morris just threw that out the window!
i have privileges in the congregation and even i was offended and felt bad for anyone who was 23 or older and not a ms!.
he goes on to tell this story of how a sister wanted to marry a brother and that anthony morris discouraged it because he was 23 and not an ms yet.

If you have a doctors perscription for it, they will more of less leave it be.
If you dont have a perscription but are using it (even if it is medically helping you).
You will get to enjoy a JC.

Chile and the flag September 18
by ILoveTTATT ini have asked the people who are following my fb page and who live in chile to take lots of pictures and even videos if they can of the chilean flag in the kingdom halls... can't wait for when the pictures start rolling in!!.

Many witnesses display it in there homes, and the Halls and even bethel does so as well. (Many Argentinanians find this beyond questionable seeing as so many of them went to prison over nuetrality.)
Use the argument about how having a flag on a passport or drivers licence is just a symbol and not whorship to justify it.
Also the text about being in subjuction to caesar.

Well do to the tablet craze, everyone needed to have everything in digital form.
Wich brought many people to appostate website to get there KM's.
Either let that continue or give in and just make the KM public.
