  i think these boards are great!

  it gives us the opportunity to express our feelings, our viewpoints, our concerns, etc.

  when we were jws we could not freely do any of that.

  this was inspired by terry's thread.... it is something that raises many questions about the jw belief system.. .

  for one thing - the bible certainly explains all the details of the christ birth.

  it certainly does not tell people to avoid celebrating it with feasts, customs, etc.

  true confession - i'm kind of a geek, always loved star wars and it gave me a bit of a lady boner.

  anyone who knows the franchise is probably familiar with the character wedge antilles.

  I think we can pretty much assume that the effects and entertainment factor will be great.

  The story? We'll have to see.

  I only risk personal health in a movie theater on special occasions.

  This will be one of those times, as were the JJ Star Trek offerings and last week, "Interstellar".

  Also, "Jar Jar Abrams" made me laugh...

  hello to all.

  i've been on this site for a couple of weeks now posting here and there but have not had the opportunity to read about many of the regular members and what led up to their leaving the wt.. i understand that some of you (i'm part of this club) may not be able to disclose many details and i can appreciate that.. i'd love to hear what was it that finally made you renounce what is and hopefully soon to be "was" the wt.. i truly look forward to having good discussions.. thank you to all for your kind participation.. .

  How did you feel when you got baptised? Seriously....

  so recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".

  statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".

  or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.

  in the new book released at the witnesses assemblies this year , " keep yourselves in god's love " notice this bit of counsel given on possible separations in marriage .

  it says on pg.

  221 , " absolute endangerment of spiritual life.

  I love seeing these quality thread resurfacing.

  I expected my wife to leave me as soon as I had the courage to vocalize my concerns and reasons for making my EXIT.

  She has assured me that we will stay together. I do nothing to stop her from attending and "Watchtower church" meetings or functions. No surprises or mysterious car problems on meeting days from me.

  All I do is talk and share truth.

  Sometimes she listens, although she does quickly forget.

  I need a good cry but I can't. Please help?

  besides being overworked and overstressed almost everyday in the past few months,.

  i've had to deal with a 'broken heart', insecurities with my physical appearance (gained a lot of weight),.

  and being lonely because i started distancing myself from the 'congregation', i just want to cry, sob, and bawl out here in my bedroom.
