hi folks,.
the rank and file is now in a strange situation.. it is clear that the jw leadership is in for a huge change.
the type / anti type change makes clear that they make a u-turn.. it's clear that with this changes the current doctrine are temporary.
I don't understand the "type/anti-type.

Armageddon Countdown Card ~ Reminds me of the movie, "Knowing". Just plain creepy.
Anyway, Take Care.
if they are going to replace the local needs with feel good interviews of our "friends".
what are they going to do for marking talks?
now we will not know that a situation "has been handled" by the elders.
If there is a 'testimonial' at the weekly meeting, it will be rehearsed. There isn't an Elder alive that would let anyone talk on stage without scripting what that person will say. And he/she won't be one of the peons, he/she will be a pioneer/ms/elder/elderette. No need to worry if something has been handled by the elders or not....I personally believe they derive much glee in marking and df'ing so I am sure there will be a new way to let the folks know that someone is to be marked or shunned.
Anyway, take care.
my wife and i still like each other.
fortieth is "ruby.
" since rubies aren't in the budget, we went to ruby beach for the weekend.
Wow! Happy Anniversary!!!!
who thought in the early months of 2012 that such a rebranding would take place in only a matter of 24 months?.
they managed to go from an antique looking and boring website (watchtower.org) with hardly any attractive content to go to a fresh looking new website with stuff for everyone, families, children, teenagers.. movies, and short videos about almost everything and new ones added every month.
cartoons, animation video's , interviews, picture activities all kind of projects, many audio files like dramatic bible readings, dramas and music, online research tools, new brochures for kids (off and online) etc.
I really don't care what innovations they achieve, maybe they'll go to the moon and that's great, but the nitty gritty of all of this is: How are JWs are treated. The R&F are nothing...the butt of jokes, df'ing is rampant, with no hope of getting back in, (yes, I know people get reinstated, but at what amount of hoop-jumping?) pedophilia is covered up, marking, families suffering, (not only the ones who have left, but their families that are in), there is an enormous amount of depression, illness, sadness, poverty, and one can never do enough as a Witness. And, Heaven forbid, if one decides to get an education she/he is demonised. No amount of big screen tvs will change that.
I visit the JW groups on FB and so many of those people are hurting, and just waiting for the New World. Why isn't there encouragement for this life, where's the help and the love? Where is the honesty? If Elders, and on up, could just be honest, just once, I would feel that progress is being made.
Anyway, Take Care

Women may give demonstrations of sorts, but to be a host of one of the segments...No, it will never happen.
i've heard about his bombastic, overly patronising, cartoon-ish delivery before, but i'd never actually seen it...until now.
and i should add, this religion bears little to no relation to the one i left 6 years ago.. .
.
I felt sorry for him (Letts). I don't know why, but I felt sorry for him when I was watching.
And, I also, never heard the names of the GB back in the good old days. Didn't know their names, rarely heard anyone speak of them.
Now they are mentioned in every meeting, in almost every prayer. I don't get it.
Anyway, take care.
i just got a job teaching in a school run by moderate muslims.
the students are muslim and do their prayers at school and have daily quran lessons.
my job is to teach art, english literacy and literature, and history.
Teacher Julia... I think that sounds awesome! I'm sure you will really do well. I think you will enjoy teaching Muslim children.
Anyway, take care.
i think the resurrection hope really really messes up people.. .
at some funerals i have not seen a tear shed.. .
could grieving be interpreted as a lack of faith?.
I cried like a baby whenever a relative, or friend died, in or out. When my mom died, Witnesses said, 'you'll see her again'. Didn't help, I think I cried on and off for a year...and I still feel badly. I'd like to see her now. My step-daughter died this week, I cried and I never met her. I saw pics of her though. She was beautiful, but not when she died, she had cancer, it ate her up right to the bone, I saw pics of her at the end. I cry when my pets die. The older I get, the more people die...and it's kind of hard to lose them because there isn't anyone to fill in the gaps so one has to learn to live without those we lose.
There was a talk today, I've never heard one like this in the 60 years I've been going to meetings. The speaker was talking about the resurrection. He said, to the audience, not the resurrection of our loved ones, but 'your' resurrection. He said he had thought he would survive into the new system, but is starting to realize, because he is getting old, that he will probably die before it gets here. So the gist of the talk was to have faith in the resurrection promise because we may end up dying in this system. He said to keep in the forefront of your mind, the resurrection hope, for ourselves. It was just kind of creepy.
Anyway, take care.
so two big changes in the org were announced in the most recent agm.. local needs part is replaced by "how do you know the truth" where all members will tell their experience (oh what fun).
basic pioneer role 10 only hours a month required (see, jehovah lightens our load, therefore he loves only us)!.
it seems like they have really turned up the heat here.
hhhaaa!!!!!!!!! lol ,,,, JOE, you've got it all figured out.
