Flan. I've tried dressing it up with chocolate, meyer lemon zest, fresh blueberries, etc, but we always end up going back to just plain flan, nothing added.

I'm strictly vegetarian, my man is strictly carnivorous. We have lots of things like burritos (chicken for him, black bean for me) that we can adapt to our individual diets, while still feeling like we're eating the same basic meal. TONS of Mexican food, some stirfries, and seafood quite often. We live on the coast of Maine, where the best seafood in the world is caught, and I have connections with local lobstermen, so we get it cheap and fresh-YUM!

Richie- please don't get me wrong, man. I don't think ANY visible tats are a bad thing. If you've got something beautiful, share it with the world. It just makes sense to place them so you can cover them if needed, like when I go to visit my elderly great-aunt. She's a nun and lives in a convent with several other elderly nuns. These ladies are like an extension of my family, I love them, and I don't want to make them uncomfortable with tattoos, piercings, holy pentagrams, etc. so it all stays covered until I leave. The guy in the picture hasn't left himself that option. I don't think he represents the whole tattooed population, nor should he.

AURAS......
by freedomloverr inwithout elaborating at length, there has been a lot going on in my life of late and i have sought out some therapies that i have used in the past.
they've helped a lot.
they are more along the lines of *natural* therapies.

Freedomloverr- Hooray for you! That must have been an amazing experience!
I could see auras when I was a kid; got in trouble in grade-school art class when I drew them around the people in my pictures. It was shocking for me to discover that everyone could not see them.

I love me a tattooed man, truly I do. But this goes beyond beautification, it looks like this guy hates his face so much, he's trying to hide himself in a veil of ink. We can't se him, only the tattoos. Anyway, self-esteem issues aside, this kid forgot the two cardinal rules of tattooing:
- Never, never, never get your honey's name or initials inscribed on you. To do so is very bad luck, practically guaranteeing a break up with that person. It's o.k. , however, to get your kids' names, or something to memorialize a deceased friend or relative.
- Whatever you choose to decorate your skin with, always put it in a place that can be covered with clothing or hair, should you need to be discreet. Think job interviews, parole hearings, etc. I'm not ashamed of my artwork, but I like that I have the option of choosing whom to share it with.

You know how, when you're in traffic, and you see a vanity plate on the car ahead of you, and it's really weird and you can't figure out what it says? Well, I can always decipher them Always. My favorite this week was NLB4ZOD. The guy was a Superman fan, apparently.

PEC- I know, there does seem to be an awful amount of tragedy on this board at times. I think it's in part because so many people here have left family and friends behind when they stopped going to meetings, so this board is (temporarily) their only emotional support. Also, when something wonderful happens in our lives, we often don't share it with the board like we do with the terrible stuff, so it seems like some days there's nothing but bad news.
To answer your question, though....Fellow members of this board have helped me get through the worst events of my life, just by allowing me to vent and by giving me what advice they could. So, I feel good when I'm able to do the same for someone else. If, however, I'm just not able to handle it, because we all have our mental and emotional limits, I either hang out in a lighter section of the forum, such as "Jokes and Humor" or "Entertainment", or even take a few days/weeks/whatever break from this site altogether. Taking a break from time to time is a really healthy thing to do, no matter what.

Did You Know or Know Of "Gay" or Bisexual JWs???
by minimus inrecently, a former witness expressed his opinion to me that he knew more than a few witnesses that were gay.personally, i know of a bisexual ex-elder who was unhappily married for a few years.
now he's "out", pardon the pun, of the organization.
i know of a newly appointed ms who is married to a sister but most people suspect he is gay.

I've known a handful of gay brothers (one of whom I almost married, a wonderful man and still a friend), and two lesbian sisters who were almost open about being a couple- they had a house together, and took vacations together, everything. They had some sort of argument, one of them moved out, and married a man. Her former partner was devastated. This was around the time I stopped attending, so I have no idea how the story ends.

"Sunnyside" by the Pogues. Honey-bunny and I saw them live a couple of months ago in Boston, and Shane (lead singer, major drunk) kept insisting on singing it, after they'd already played it once through. He got increasingly belligerent about it as the night wore on, kept screaming "Sunnyside! @%$#ing Sunnyside!" every few minutes. Now we yell that at each other at random moments, just to be funny. That's why it's lodged in my brain.
