just curious......
I am in an odd situation, as I could claim to be any of three very different religions:
I was told last year, by a Catholic priest, that since I was baptised as an infant into the Catholic church, I am still, and will always be, a Catholic.
I've never da'd or been df'd. Although inactive, I'm still likely being counted as a Jehovah's Witness.
However, my personal beliefs and practices are entirely Pagan.

i am not trying to compete with fmz as he has a supernatural thread going already but - do you secretlyt wish for a demon attack - serious question - the reason i ask this is because - if i had a demon attack it would mean there was a satan the devil and if there was a satan it would mean there was god.
what i am trying to say in a nutshell is "a demon attack would actually strengthen my faith" where at the moment it is non-existent almost
Simon, I'm glad you don't fear witches; we're generally pretty benign creatures, and mean you no harm.

I don't think there needs to be a Satan, to prove there is a God. For proof of God, take a walk in nature, or consider the intricate engineering of the bones of your hand. Look at Hubble telescope pictures, or read a book on chemistry. When I see how everything fits together, and nothing in nature is wasteful or wasted, I am convinced of the existence of a creator.
I wouldn't call it romantic, but I got some emails from a former poster that were meant to be erotic, I think. They did not have the desired effect, as I was frankly creeped out and did not take him up on his offer.

Here's an interesting concept, one with which you may not agree:
This whole Christian concept of a bad guy named Satan is really just a copout. By creating a scapegoat, some invisible spirit we can blame whenever stuff goes wrong or we misbehave, we've just absolved ourselves of responsibility. Maybe, just maybe, he's never existed, and we're the ones in control of our morality. Therefore, we're responsible to control our actions, and we can't blame this invisible boogy-man every time we screw up.
Please understand, I'm not trying to attack you, or your faith. I'm just throwing this idea out there as something to consider.

I can't remember much about the assembly programs themselves. The dramas were sort of entertaining, in an amateurish kind of way. I really only went to check out the honeys- all those cute janitors in their cheap suits and Flanders moustaches, yummy!

Rose. My great-grandmamma's name was Rose Elisabet, so my mom reversed it and named me Elizabeth Rose in her honor. It was a spur of the moment decision, as I was supposed to have been a boy named Daniel Patrick, and she hadn't picked out a girl's name. I came thisclose, however, to being named Iphigenia Clytaemnestra; thankfully, they talked her out of it! Can you just imagine the amount of teasing I would've gotten?
you know that awful moment when you ask a friend if they've had a nice holiday, and all of a sudden they pull out the holiday pics and you think "oh my god......." here come the pics i never wanted to see........well....... i wanted to re-create that moment in your own living rooms right now........lol.

i mean the ones that think they are too good to serve you (or you are not good enough to deal with).. as i posted previously, my last contract ended a few weeks ago and i got another that will involve a bit more travel than normal so am looking to get a better car to eat up the mileage and provide a bit more safety.
contract hire just to get me to and from work safely and efficiently.
The last car I bought (5 yrs ago,) I brought my boyfriend along with me, with the idea that we could stop off for a nice dinner afterward; it's so rare we get to be in the big city.
The first two salesmen I spoke to refused to talk to me. They directed all their comments to my man, and ignored me completely, even though I was the one asking all the questions. He repeatedly told them he wasn't buying a car, that they should speak to me. I finally asked them in a rather forceful voice why they didn't want to make a sale today. Then I turned on my heel and marched back to my car. Suddenly, the tag-team took me seriously and started following me, all the while jabbering about how "cute" I'd look in this lil' Honda they'd just got in- so adorable, girls love 'em, and it's purple! Yep, they lost that sale. The guy at the next place was polite, helpful, listened closely, found me the perfect car, and made the sale.
I don't get why so many salespeople are so clueless. I believe they get some kind of a commission, don't they, so they ought to mind their manners when customers (even "girls" and guys who aren't dressed formally) try to make a purchase.
