when you feel emotionally tense how do you release the tension?
by laughing, socialising, playing computer games, or some other way?
for me it's humour really funny ideas come to mind and make me laugh a lot, also by doing some sport such as swimming, listening to nice music and of course by socialising.
I love Halo, but it gives me more frustration than it relieves, because I'm so bad at it and I blow myself up with the rocket launcher regularly.
I think it's a great game. Since you're not allowed to beat your children anymore, I just blow them up in the video game. They have never raised their hand to me, but like to blow me up too. They will ambush me. Good clean, kill each other, family time.

I have to get up early in the morning for the convention. Bawhahaha, sorry had to go there. Seriously, I am home with the kids, and watching Leno. Excitment never ends in my house.

So good to hear your story. Your mom sounds like my mom. Alienating people, and then sad that she doesn't have people to talk to and count on. That's a tough situation for you. I would think, when the time comes, your mom will talk to the elders, and they will say it's okay to live with/rely on your daughter because you have no choice. Who knows, all the elders are different. And I'm glad for your dad that he has the joy that you arent' a JW anymore. Welcome to the board.
Sounds like my Mom as well. They told my mom that she isn't a true widow, because she has children. (whatever) As long as she has my brother (who is D'A) and me, she has someone to rely on/take care of her. So the elders may very well tell her that it's ok to live with you. I was still going to the meetings when my Dad passed. Wish I did it while he was still alive. Mine would have be happy too.

I have found that happiness is only if you make it so. To stop waiting for happiness to come, but to go and get it. To be happy, content, and actually live.

I haven't been to this board for 6-8 months. Moving, packing, chasing children, no time. Finally unpacked the last box, and have personal time again. (wahoo for me)

They say pioneering is not for everyone, but a university education is very important. They will offer up their children on the altar of education. WTF! How are these pioneers going to be supported? By the more educated ones in the congregation who actually have jobs and are willing to enable the pioneers. I thank the universe everyday that I got myself an education.
Now you know, education will do nothing for you, but give you independant thinking. We can't have that now can we.
