That verse says in part: ".....not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together....but encouraging one another..." Witnesses have used it since like forever to justify having numerous weekly meetings, assemblies, conventions, etc. Note it says nothing about how often those gatherings should occur, nor that they have to be held in a building constructed specifically for that purpose. Tell your friend he/she can encourage you by stopping by for a visit, going out for a meal, even by phone, e-mail, or text.

Indeed. First he was equating WTBS publications with the word of God. Then, after stating that he would back up what he said with references to those publications, HE DIDN'T. I guess he thought the audience would be so enthralled, they would forget.

If THAT is Paradise, count me bored....
by bafh ini happened to attend a session of the summer convention on sunday morning.
one thing that that struck me was how their view of paradise was that we would all be the same.
they kept talking about how nice it would be if we all spoke the same language.

Learning all the languages there are would have been a great way to spend time in paradise. Just imagine teaching your pet lion, tiger, panda, etc. to sit, rollover, and fetch in multi languages.

by FeelingFree inok so i know its not really anything to do with jwness but we are struggling with baby names and really can't think of one we both like.
its getting a bit desperate as i'm due in about 8 weeks .. i'm getting bored of looking at the same old names on the baby names websites so any suggestions would be much appreciated (girls please).. **cash prize for the one we choose!

JC's and recordings?
by punkofnice ini know there are recordings out there of jcs and more to come.
i imagine the average drone wouldn't dream of recording a jc but those who are aware of the tatt might record jcs if they bother to attend.. i'm wondering (yes, another idle speculation post...sorreeeeeee), with the advent of more being recorded if the wbt$ will change their tack on how jcs are conducted?
leave it the same?.
