Elder tells me that Governing Body moved to Walkill to escape terrorism

i was talking to an elder the other day, and he told me that the governing body had all moved to walkill to because jehovah wouldn't let them be destroyed.. but, i thought, weren't some of the gb in walkill anyway?

and if this is the case, why would they build that massive residential complex in the dumbo area?

are bethelites expendable if a terrorist attack did happen?.

I also think a lot of their assholes puckered up when they saw what could happen in real life and not in the fantasy world they live in. watchtower cd rom wont work on my computer. Why?

hi all.. am i paranoid but i have almost completed writing my life story and wanted to put in some quotes from wt literature.

my wt cd rom will not work on my computer.

i have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still doesnt work.

There are all sorts of possible causes...

Bad CD ROM Drive
Bad CD ROM Drivers
CD ROM Drive does not support CD/R or CD/RW
Dirty Laser lens
Bad IDE Cable connecting your Drive to your Mother Board

You did not make the "suggested" $50.00 contribution for the disk.

As you may be aware God knows everything including when you have been BAD. A visit to the local KH is in order. I would suggest not only a contribution of $50.00 for the CD but a further contribution of $50.00 to the world wide preaching effort. In this way your efforts will be blessed.

Number one has to be Ray Franz because he has exposed them for what they are FROM THE TOP DOWN

Number two has to be Bill Bowen because what he is doing can cost them big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

My thought is between the two of them they have cost the WT more in members and money than anyone else.

There are also LOTS of others who have helped to chip away at the rotting foundation that is the WT.

Each one of you has the ability to fill in the blanks from 3 to 100 for themselves for who is doing what to help bring this BORG DOWN.

The list is long and I am thankful to every one of you helping in this battle.

well, they dumped food service at assemblies, us subscriptions to the watchtower, reduced hard bound book.

How long do you think it will be before they start naming their contributors...A special thanks to brother..IMSOPOOR for contributing $500.00 .Yes brothers inspite of being confined to an iron lung since the age of 10 and living on welfare and food stamps he still put"kingdom interests first"? We wish to also thank the many THOUSANDS who contributed $100.00 including the young lad who gave his allowance gladly to further the"interests of God's kingdom." In talking to this young lad he remarked...at first I wanted to buy video games with the money but I soon realized video games can not give you "everlasting life"? How blessed I feel to be able to contribute to the world wide preaching work now taking place. I only wish I had more to give !!!

I am always suspicious of facts and figures that show the WT in a plus situation. I do think the Canada figures could be about right. In our area the same old ones are still plodding through their paces...I see no increase and no changes...just a bunch of increasingly aged old timers still jumping through hoops for their master, the WT.

New World Translation: ignored once again!

it allows you to search for a bible passage in several different translations, from king james to douay to original language hebrew and greek.

i am shocked, shocked i tell you, that the new world tranlation is not one of the options!

The only hitch is that there are a few Bible translations that can be added that are not free - the NASB and Amplified Bible modules are $20 each

Didn't I see in small print at the bottom of the page that if you promised you would download and use the "New World Translation" that they would pay you $20.00

I consider myself irrelevant and of not much use anymore. That is ok with me.

It is not OK by me that you think this about yourself. I regard you and a short list of other posters as the foundation that helps to keep this board strong and together.

It is true that many posts do not have core JW issues at their heart but most of us love the way you have of cutting through the "CRAP" and telling it as it is. I have a saved folder with some of your classic posts and they will never be out of date. I urge you to stick with it and take a bit of a holiday if you must but always regard this as your "home"

If you left they would have to retire your avitar from active use and hang it in the avitar hall of fame.

just a quick note to let you folks know that valis has been approved for his trans-gender surgery!

he has scheduled his several operations to be completed and he will be finished with his recovery from the operations in time to be the maid of honor at not perfect yet's upcoming wedding!

his new name will be "valisia.

Oh... I hope it will be a useful spare and not like those little undersized spares that come in the trunks of many cars these days. A lot of times you never even pull them out of the trunk to check them out and when you do you find they have gone flat and you can't pump them up again.

The birds are getting ready to eat us?

my mom (a baptized jw who hasn't been to a meeting willfully in years) commented today on how the birds in the neighborhood have been acting more aggressive lately.

how they've been taunting and divebombing our cat, being loud and obnoxious, etc..(the probable reason for this is that our cat probably killed a baby bird or something).

she said the birds are getting ready to eat animals.

Hi Danny,

I can't see where this could happen unless Jehovah made sure we were all bled out before the birds and worms got at us. After all,if it is a dub's resposibility to make sure all the food you feed to a pet doesn't contain blood then he should have to make sure all animal kind don't violate his "abstain from blood rule" I am sure they could still partake of "fractions" however.

By the way keep up the good work of sticking it too them in your neck of the woods. I think keeping in their face is the only way to make things change.
