  What books did you study?

  before you got baptized, what were the books that you studied with your bible study conductor?

  the "essential" one that i studied was the live forever book.

  when i was a child, i had to study my book of bible stories, great teacher, and your youth (twice).

  Live Forever and United in worship, also when we first went to book study we jumped in a middle of Revelation book - with my limited english it was so confusing and hard to understand.

  Bush Admin Bans Media Coverage of Dead Soldiers Returning..Why?

  why would the pentagon suddenly stop all the media coverage of our dead troops coming home?

  a little too close to election time maybe?

  i hope this comes back to haunt bush and all of his war cronies and i hope they can live with all the dead that keep piling up every day.

  of course they do - it probably worked out for them but you are forgeting that there are many ( let say 9 million people) for whom it didn`t work out good ,and I am speaking for them. We all have our own views and it greatly depends on which side we were. From my own experience, from the experience of my family members and my friends I know that what I am expressing is truth.

  I gave pretty general statement about Kosovo not specifically singling out any side yet you find that my knowledge about that situation is not accurate - how so?Why would you have accurate information? Did you live there or have family or friends there? Do you know anything about where I come from?

  I still stand by my statement that world comunity failed people in that part of the world.

  "What is war good for? - Absolutely nothing!"

  Does anybody remember Balkans and Kosovo? I do. Is it peaceful there? No and never will. The same thing with Iraq. In both cases it would have been better choice if the resources were used to help people within these countries tople those regimes that were oppresing them.

  I applaud you for your strenght - you are survivor and a brave woman.

  I agree with you that memories can be really shattered and that it should not be reason not to trust this poor girl. In every rape case,investigators should really tread carefully not to cause even more damage to the victim - because no matter what the victim looked like, what or where did she work or what her circumstances were,nobody" deserves" to be violated in any way.

  In this case it seems to be more questions than answers.

  somewhere I read : " Truth is like surgery - it hurts but it heals too."

  so, I guess no matter what it was I would like to know ,and I would not choose to hide.Quite a few times I`ve been really hurt by people trying to work for my benefit by hiding the truth, just to have that truth exposed latter ,even uglier.Not only I had to deal with very complicated situations because of that fact but I also lost trust in some people.

  background: in march, my jw brother became a father, and i became an uncle for the first time.

  Funky,

  your letter brought tears to my eyes - it is so heartwrenching to see how wt separates and hurts families,and I am truly sorry that you have to experience that pain.

  Your letter is very to the point yet it reflects lots of your personal pain.I think you are right to ask your brother to define how is he going to view relationship he has with you. Hopefully, that might make him do some soul searching and see how much his child is going to need his uncle or grandpa.

  whatever your brother`s answer might be, in my opinion, I hope this letter will help you move on, because you were able to express your feelings, to put the blame where it belongs, yet offer your hand of friendship. Ball is now in your brother`s corner.

  I wish you all the best and sincerely hope that you`ll get your family back.

  Irreverent Got Good News

  some of you may remember that my husband suffered heart failure in may and the words "heart transplant" were mentioned often.

  he has been in heart rehab (diet and exercise and close monitoring) and meds since then.

  last week, he was told that the heart transplant was off the table.
