I know before he said that.. i was thinking the same thing.. they would have made us sit there for the whole 23 days she was supposed to serve
yesterday i bought a pair of jeans, and i don't take the same size as years ago.
from 31 inch waist 10 years ago, i buy 33 inch waist jeans now.
a few years ago, i bought many pairs of jeans, and didn't wear them much, thinking i'd be the same weight all my life....lol.
I used to.. Thankfully I did. I've lost a ton of weight and didnt' have to go out and buy a bunch of new clothes
I have now thrown out the sizes I grew out of that were now too BIG

i've been doing a major cleaning today, anything that hasn't been used or looked at for a while is getting tossed.
one of the biggest things that needs to go is all our jw books and bound volumes.
i've gotten rid of all the loose wt and awakes quite a while ago.. today when hubby came home from work, and saw the bags to go to the dump he was impressed!
There are some who want copies of original books too here.. I know I was asked for mine..
but when I moved 3 yrs ago I didn't have time to deal with mailing them, etc (and yes I was offered not only money but return postage).. but I just threw them out.. it was easier..
i regularly talk to a poster on this board via the pm system...............mainly because i like his mind.......today he suggested in reply to something i had said that basically men and women dont do friendship.........he asked the question 'why do people even bother with each other if they dont fancy each others intimacy?
'...............not that he was suggesting this about us.........but i am just wondering what you lot think.. it has been my experience to have some wonderful men friends...........i love mens company and their conversation..........now i am wondering if all those 'mates' were/are after something else............well not really........i am pretty sure at least some of them arent.. so whats your view/experience.........can men and women just be good friends.. oh and to my friend who i pm.........this is not a criticism of you.........i am interested in what others experiences are..........and i will give you a big kiss (on the cheek) one day when i see ya to make up for it.......... fi.
well I've been in circumstances where staying friends was easy and leaving it at just friends..
and other circumstances where a lot of time together (in person) led to more..

in the majority of pictures, the married couples are only of the same race and none of them are mixed.
i noticed that in other pictures of the so-called paradise, its segerated amongst races too.
I know some feel there is racism in the WTS.. to be honest, I feel like my being raised in the WTS actually gave me the best foundation to be not racist. I never judge anyone by their race. I think it has made me a better person.

my favorite grandma died of cancer shortly before i was engaged.
her sisters including the recently deceased, stepped up and bought me all my china for my wedding.
they attended my wedding, for her and all said they would be my substitute grandmas.
Sorry this happened to you. I don't blame you for being upset. Hopefully you now you can get in touch with your non JW family and keep the communcation going so they let you know the next time something happens themselves.
