I feel like I got the knife of spiritual terrorism today when I received a reaction to taking a hiatus from this religion I was raised with. This so called person cut me like a knife with words that went from things tame like you are selfish or nasty to words that said go shoot yourself or slit your wrists and do it right she said. I only told her I was taking a time out to rethink my life.

How long before you are found....
by Elsewhere in.
minimus' thread (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/60379/1.ashx) got me thinking... if you were to suddenly kill over dead at home, how long would it be before somone came looking for you?.
me... i probably would not be found until after the first of the month... when my rent was due.

My first post was in response to a post about Simplesally. She didn't know I had joined the board or knew me by these initials, so I only commented to her as a clue. I said I was an honorary auntie. She knew right away who I was. That was my first post.

Enjoying a beer
by CruithneLaLuna inhi friends,.
i am enjoying a beer, which is nothing remarkable, except that i really like the taste of beer, and haven't had one in a year or so.
it's only a bud light, which some of you beer connoisseurs may look down your noses at (and i appreciate the more expensive and exotic brands, too), but hey, it's a beer, and i haven't had one in a long time!.

Rochelle said she could not help but think, the Vikings had possession of the ball about two seconds ago.
and how often have the Vikings had a season like this one. To quote American Express, moments like these are "priceless".
on a serious note, his latest release he even talks about preaching. The album is totally different from anything he has ever released before.

WTBS Phobias --------- What Effect On You?

once a young man told his parents that he needed a break from the meetings.
they begged him to keep going and not become worldly.

risky behavior when you left?
That all depends on what we define as risky behavior. We were told anything outside the rules is risky. So anyone 'leaving' by some terms is considered risky. Stopping associating or stopping meetings is. Dating an unbeliever, associating with unbelievers. Associating on a board like this, etc etc.
In the view outside that window, illicet sex, drugs, gambling, etc etc.
So, yes in some peoples view, I have participated in 'risky behavior'.

I like budweiser too but prefer the german imports such as Becks .
Good taste. Becks if a favorite of mine.
I didn't realize how many Alkies we had on the board.
I come from a long line of Alcoholics and am proud of it.
j/k
Well I am having a vodka and coke (caffeine free). My bf called me and woke me up from the dead of sleep and we talked for a while. Now I can't seem to fall back asleep. So here I am hoping this little 'whet the whistle' will relax me and let me fall back into never never land.
side note: I am positive I could not go a yr w/o beer.

Dear friends, please be careful!
by onacruse inthis has been said many times before, by folks much more experienced in the "net world" than i am.... we are a loving, caring, trusting and wonderful community here!
oh my but what it means to me/us to have friends with whom we can share our deepest feelings, joys, sadness, frustration, anger, and need for companionship.
and to get together, share a meal, have a party .

There is good advice in this thread. It never hurts to be careful and set up levels of trust when you first meet someone on the net as far as giving personal information. I've had good experiences as well as bad. People are not always who they say they are. Thankfully for those who are, it can be worth giving some the chance. Some of the most important people in my life, I originally met on the net. But I have learned to be weary and careful before sharing too much private information first.

Doors you were afraid to knock on
by JH inwhen you were in the field service, were there some doors that you did not want to knock on, by fear?
in my city there is a hells angels bunker and that group is called the "nomads".
a door i would not knock on in any circumstance.

Any door. I never enjoyed service and never got over the fear of what was behind the door. I even increased my hours and aux pioneered thinking it would make it easier. I sure do not miss it or the guilt from not going.

Think I'll refresh my drink and wait for my second wind.
