Well if anyone needs any infor or copy of an article from these magazines, let me know. I have a very, very small number of Golden Ages from 1920 to 1935, and complete set for 1936 and 1937.As for the Consolation I have only one issue of 1937 and complete yearly sets from 1938 to 1946. Hope this could help anyone.

Golden Age Magazine
by drew sagan inthis past week i found on ebay a cd-rom set that contained every single issue of the golden age magazine from 1919-1924. since i didn't see it for free on download anywhere else on the net, i sprung for the $15 and are eagerly awaiting it's arrivial.
but that is just 1919-1924. there are still many other issues that we can't get our hands on.
basically 1925-1937 when it became 'consolation' and those are pretty hard to come by as well being that the society never produced bound volumes of it (at least i don't think they did).

Society letter read to all congregations July 28,2006 !!
by headmath ini got news of this from the jw grape vine today that at the meeting on thursday(yesterday) there was a letter read to all the congregations from the society.
for the first time the society says in the letter to prepare for great tribulation and to have plenty of emergency supplies in case of a disaster.
this has shaken the up the jws it seems.

With the very bad weather conditions of last year and who knows what this year will bring, I'd look at the letter as a heads up and be prepared. Of course many dubs would look at this as gearing up for the Great Tribulation fueled by more "food" from the FDS. Oh welI, guess some things never change.

At one time I was on the verge of throwing out all my Wt books (from C.T.Russell's writings to 2004) but made many of a fine witness to JW witnesses and others using these old publications. So at this time I still have the large Library and send out photo copies to any who request any information on the Borg. This has been my healing . Before throwing them out one should check with Randy at Freeminds.com to see if he can use them or even myself (Investigator74).

Located a JW publication...
by Jim_TX inlast saturday, my fiancee and i went out, and wound up in an indoor flea market walking around.. we went past many many stalls... people were selling any and everything that you could imagine - and that would fit within a cubicle of about 10-feet by 10-feet.
(some were larger, too.).
well, we found one stall that the fella had used books - and he had pretty well organized them by 'topic'.

I recall in reading in the COC bk, around 1980, a day after Ray's resignation letter was read before the Bethel family, the Bethel elders were called into a meeting with the GB .The late Lloyd Barry spoke in unfavorable terms over using Christendoms commentaries. The Barnes Notes commentary was used in the Service dept. and left out in the open. After Barry's thoughts, the Barnes Notes were keep in a draw afterwards and Randy W. stated they were banned from the libraries for a time . Also too I remember reading, that when Ray Franz approached his uncle Raymond about a biblical question, he was referred to check the Clarke's Commentary. It's ironic how the WTB&TS have used from different commentaries to support their theology, yet let a r&f used one in his further search of the scriptures, and he'd be told the Watchtower publications are good enough.

Yes TD is right. I have the Original WT Reprints (1919) and the Cds as well. Like to use the cds because the reprints are old and you have to be careful handling them. The Cds also include the original WTs from July 1 to Dec.15,1919 issue which you don't find in the original WT Reprints (they end on the June 15th issue). I sold off all my yearbooks (1927 - 2005) , but there are now yearbook cds from 1927 to 1942 and 1943 to 1959. Have a collection of full year WT sets from 1930 to date and Golden Age/Consolation/Awake sets from 1936 to date with some earlier single issues from the 1920's and early 30's.Have also a full set of booklets and books from the 1920's to date .Again alot of these publications can be found on cds,but if I can be of any help, no problem.
