today my mother got results from a biopsy she had on tuesday.
she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and has to have surgery to remove the thyroid.
the doctor said this type of cancer is almost always curable which is good news.
Devon,
I just went through a cancer scare with my mom. So I know how you feel. It makes you feel so helpless. In the end, everything worked out for the best for her and i'm sure it will for your mom, too.
All my best,
Country
someone mentioned this in one of their posts and i had a flashback.
i remember getting a w on one of my theocratic school talks when i was working on gesturing.
the funny thing about it is that it was given to me by my dad!
If you gave a talk in the main hall, you always got a "W" if it was the first time you had worked on that point. Didn't matter if you deserved a "G" or not... Everyone got a "W." BUT, if you gave a talk in the second school, then you had a chance of getting a "G" the first time. The elder in the main hall was hardcore old school, but the brother in the second school was younger and more fair.

i went to the doctor today.
i have had a cough, stuffed up nose, sore throat, headaches, and sore body.
i thought it was just the flu.
(((((((((((CG)))))))))))
Now, listen here... you need to do what your doctor says. I know it's easier said than done. Ray is totally right. Having these tests run will give you a clean bill of health, or let you know what you need to change to get a clean bill of health.
Aight? Aight.

his name was robert thigpin and i worked with him for eight years (1990-1998).
last night he killed himself.
while we didn't always see things eye to eye, i could always count on him and he was a good co-worker.
Steve,
Sorry to hear of your loss.
Country
would you have voted him in?
do you think we would be in iraq today??
?
The guys is/was a sleaze. I have no respect for him or his administration whatsoever. His presidency, in my opinion, is the epitome of "Wag The Dog"
Hey Big Tex,
I know you probably mean this about Bill Clinton... but honestly... it could also apply to Bush, Jr. Both sides are guilty of "Wag the Dog" politics.
I agree... the whole Dem vs. Repubs is really getting old. Neither side is going to see it the other's way. But, when I went to vote in 1996 and 2000, I asked myself, "Is my life now better or worse than it was four years ago?" Both times, the answer was, "Better." However, this November when I ask that question, (unless I win the lottery or something) the answer is going to be, "Worse." Bush, Jr. is responsible for that, regardless of what he "inheirited" from Clinton.
Just my 2cents,
Country
would you have voted him in?
do you think we would be in iraq today??
?
Yes, I would have definately voted for Clinton again.
No, I don't think he would have us in Iraq. He was the consumate politician, IMHO. He would have done the UN thing (like the WTS), except he probably would have gotten more support. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Depends on who you ask. If you're one of the 500+ soldiers who have died over there's family members, it would be a good thing. But, honestly, we'll never know what he would have done...

hi friends: ( credit for this goes to debbie).. .
dumbo plan for towers looms over local objections.
by jake mooney.
A long-discussed proposal from the Jehovah's Witnesses to build a 1,000-unit residence hall and parking garage in Dumbo, Brooklyn, has reached the desks of city plannersThe Borg wants to build a hall in a place called Dumbo?? LMAO!! Well, it certainly would be an appropriate place for them to build!!
I agree! I did a search on Google about DUMBO... here is what I found:
DUMBO is the popular name of a neighborhood in Brooklyn, from "Down Under the Manhattan
Bridge Overpass." It is located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. .DUMBO has become known as an artists' haven, as many of the expansive warehouses in
the neighborhood have been renovated into loft space.
Hmmmm... this just confirms that Russell's printing company has become a huge real estate developement company as well.

that for me was just about the hardest thing to deal with growing up.
my mum was a witness, my dad never was.
many times my mum would struggle to get my sister and me on a bus to get to the kh when we were little kids, despite suffering from nerves herself, without dads help.
Hey Scoob,
Being a teenager was tough. Being a JW teenage was even tougher. But being a gay, JW teenager was almost more than I could take.
I know what you're going through. Everything is one more "Maybe this will work and 'cure' me." Because we all know that Jehovah will lighten our load if we throw it upon him... or some sort of WT phrasing like that. If I get baptised, maybe that will work. If I aux. poineer this month, maybe that will work. If I regular pioneer, maybe that will work. If I become a MS, maybe that will work. If I marry Sister So-and-so, maybe that will work... but none of them do. And they don't work for the simple fact that God doesn't care whether or not you are gay, straight, bisexual or asexual. You are who you are meant to be.
Honestly, you will never feel whole until you get rid of the WT drivel that was pounded into our heads about homosexuality. And, I KNOW it's easier to say it than to do it. But you have to work through those 'demons' on your own terms and in your own way. I would still be carrying around all that baggage if it weren't for this, and other, boards. If you ever need an ear to listen, please feel free to PM me.
