  so i am being hounded by the elders who are staring to get suspicious about our "slackening off in the truth".

  rather than being railroaded or pushed into a defensive or argumentative situation, i am keeping the following comment up my sleeve:.

  i am new to the site.

  i started perusing it this weekend and wish i had found it 10 years ago when i was on my way out.

  anyways, long story short, was df'd for you guessed it...fornication or "loose conduct" even though i had been a pioneer with an elder father, grandfather and uncle and no previous issues.

  order of operations is important, so, i'll ask a question before i make assumptions and start "fixing things.".

  obviously, the site heavily encourages the viewpoint of former j-dubs and others who have disagreements with the political posturing of the wbts.

  Im an active JW. Intending to fade, and before I saw the TTATT (thanks to you guys) I was an occassional lurker here. Just ordered Crisis of Conscience and yes this site is effective, only to those who have a reason or a propensity to search for it!

  Oh my, yes.....alot of this is real. In the local KH, its getting to be almost to where you have to be an apostate to NOT wear something with JW.org on it. Getting easier to see who is waking up, or is already awoke and faking it!

  I remember hearing that. Im currently in college (and by default an active JW). NO!!! Its not the same, college is about resilience, hard-work, SELF motivation, independence, and most of all CRITICAL THINKING. WTS publications do not encourage this. Only hard-work is for the furthering of Jehovah kingdom WTS membership! Fear is motivator, along with guilt. And most of all college is more than reading random articles about how to live your life and regurgitating facts and information for a pat on the back after the watchtower. Research does not involve using only one, biased, source. Now that I think about it.....I laugh whenever a "well-meaning" borg. member says something so stupid.

  i used to be an elder for more than 20 years .

  i have successfully faded with my wife and children.

  Welcome to the forum! (Good to know Im not the newest member on here anymore......people are waking up everyday! Im currently in a position where Im preparing to fade....but congrats on getting out with your immediate family in-tact! Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

  i just realized that all these dates that the borg have said the end would come on or by and then it didn't happen, have stumbled me.

  why such a fascination and trying to divine the answer from scripture when scripture plainly says only the father knows the day and the hour?

  by their predictions, they actually sent many christians on the path of date-based worship insted of faith-based worship.. if they have stumbled me, then who is reponsible for that?.

  Good Scripture! Im gonna use this on a bible study when Im with an elder or something ;)
