  this is my first time posting on here so i’m not sure where to start.

  i’m trying to keep it as short as possible since i could expand much more.

  i’ve been in the process of waking up in the last year and a half.

  Wow...I don't know how you current Elders do the "pretend" thing. I have a hard time just driving by a KH. I has to be tough and I admire your patience.

  I agree with many who have told you to take it slow. Mention things here and there and hopefully you will be able to make some progress with her.

  It is topics like this that make me wonder how many Elders and others are out there who don't believe this crock any more.We have been out for 3 years but it seems more and more are waking up to the lies.

  yes my holy anionted mom who has cancer is concerned that the loving god jehovah may ask her in heaven to destroy here non believer family including her 5 year old grandchild during armagedon....how messed up are these crazy people!!?

  i always found it interesting how there are doctors at bethel and jw lawyers, when the org frowns on pursuing higher education.

  i guess it's ok if it's for their benefit?.

  Good point Millie. Are they receiving more "kick back" than they anticipated? Reading this forum and also Reddit, it seems there is more questioning and doubters than they may have expected. I hope they are nervous...very nervous (but than again...they are very arrogant).

  What's The First "Worldly" Thing You Did When You Exited The Cult?

  when you finally and officially exited the cult, whether it be by disfellowshipping, disassociating or fading - what was the first things you did that are considered "worldly"?.

  for me, it was like crash landing on another planet that looked like earth but was completely different to the earth i knew.

  i wanted to learn everything that i thought i already knew.. first things i did:.

  Not too much here. We are pretty boring. We just continued on with our life. We enjoy life and each other. We enjoyed life prior to our exit but unloading the cult was VERY good for our emotional well being. Getting the "toxins" out of your life is a great feeling.

  We have allowed our children the freedom to be "normal." Hanging out with their friends (great kids), going to supervised parties and pursuing goals and learning. Just the ordinary things, ordinary people do.

  Campaign to invite people to meetings

  just found out last night that our congo is starting a campaign to invite interested people to meetings.

  the instructions for the campaign clear out that "interested" people are not just those whom we visit often or have bible studies with.

  it includes and random stranger we may talk to and who may show a hint of interest on the religion.
