"He was way too Christlike for the W.T, his very existence challenged everything they claimed for themselves."
I had to chuckle when I read this. You are accurately precise.

Those of you stuck in with kids&question about spouse
by All for show init is killing me now that i am awake, having kids in school and having to be jws.
birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, having to go home or be left out because their teachers know they are witnesses and/or have kids from the school in their class or grade.
it's a small town so the other jws in the hall know what's going on since their kids are in the same school.

The foundation has been laid and it will just be a matter of time before he realizes and his eyes are opened completely.
Ask him very pointed questions regarding the many fail teachings and if he will ask these to the elders to see their response.

by Homerovah the Almighty ini caught this on you-tube recently and i thought it made a very strong point on the dangers of apocalyptic cults such as the jws.

Higher Education... Some ideas for those that think it is too late
by adjusted knowledge inso many witnesses lost the opportunity to pursue higher education in their youths.
perhaps it took decades for many here to leave and now feel it is too late.
degree you will also earn multiple certifications from other agencies:.

Be effective or people will die
by Odrade inmy husband and i have been out of the org for quite some time, but still find that old ideas and values come up and bite us on the ass.. lately, i've been plagued by an increase in the frequency and severity of my nightmares (which have always been an issue,) so i've begun to dream journal.
in just a few days, this realization cropped up.
i can't save people.. i've been blogging again recently.

The WT uses the house-to-house work as a means to gauge member spirituality. How nonsensical is that? I don't recall any biblical scriptures citing examples of keeping track and organizing congregational meetings. Didn't Paul travel from congregation to congregation not answering to any governing body?
If Jehovah knows the state of people's hearts and know whether they will indeed listen and blossom, why are we required to cover the entire world territory guided by spirit beings in order to find these people that are inclined to listen?
Just doesn't make any sense and I now realize that the WT uses it as a means to "promote" spiritual men.

@ adjusted knowledge - this is a great topic as sadly many witnesses' have been robbed of their time and opportunity for a higher education.
I'm also a college graduate pursuing further higher education. It is never too late but costs really need to be considered and planned for.
Too many for-profit colleges out there on tv-land being promoted as good choices.
To anyone looking to pursue higher education please be sure that the college you are applying at is accredited not just nationally or through the department of education but rather through the independent body of accreditation for your specific major such as for business the college or university needs to be accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

The following thread is where I fully 'woke up', after coming on here to defend the Watchtower at first. I guarantee it'll make you think.
Initially I would visit this site with the same intention.
Naturally I did not register but rather tried to prove or disprove what was being posted.
That was the beginning of the end for me and continuing to believe in the WT teachings.

Thanks for everyone's comments. It really helps me appreciate the reality of what the WT really is. And how I'm not alone in my logical and irrefutable conclusions on so many fronts. It's really refreshing to be able to speak so freely with you guys without having to be afraid of being disciplined for exercising my right to question as to the veracity of the teachings just like the Apostle Paul asked that we do.
Some years back I watched a narration of CoC on YouTube and that sparked a sincere interest in proving or disproving what was being said. Stupid me I asked another Witness and this person discounted everything as a satanic trap. One thing that this Witness said really caught my attention and made me pause and reflect even deeper. I was told that even though the WT did change many teachings due to a better understanding (new light), the core teachings were correct and have never changed (hellfire, heavenly calling, field service, etc.).
This Witness is a lifelong member that is older and has way too much invested to see anything in a negative light. They are completely closed off and will not allow rational thinking. The WT can print out something incredibly against human logic and this person would do it without batting an eye.
