Do hours in preaching affect social status?
by new light indeep down, i guess i know the answer to this one, but what the heck?
is it common for someone to have a diminished jw social life for no other reason than being a low-hour publisher?
not to seem conceited, but at the hall i was always smiling and quick-witted (i believe), talked to all types happily, gave good talks and demos, dressed well, smelled good, etc.

I would say definitely. I remember when I was going out in service two or three times a week back in 1992, mainly so I could be in a car group with my crush, David Hunter. I was invited to more parties and get-togethers, and actually talked to at meetings. when I couldn't afford to go out in service anymore, due to not having enough money for breaks, gas money, and literature, the invites dwindled back down to nothing. then David went to Bethel immediately after, and there was no reason to go out in service anymore. so, it worked out quite nicely.

by run dont walk inwork, service, kingdom hall, nightlife, assembly, restaurant, what was you worst moment as a jw.

January 1991, when I was 14 years old, out in service with Lou and Aimee and a few others one day, and we had to go all the way out to the country to make a return call, after having stopped at McDonald's for break. by the time we got out there, I had to pee, but I was told it would be impolite to disturb Lou and her householder during the return visit, so I had to hold it. she was at that call for 45 excruciating minutes, plus there was another half-hour drive back to town, and, no, they wouldn't pull over and let me pee by the side of the road, as that was considered a 'bad witness' to passing cars. once we'd dropped everyone else off, Aimee wanted me to wait until she got to a gas station so she could fill up her tank with the gas money she'd collected from everyone, plus she didn't take me seriously and was making jokes, trying to get me to laugh. I almost made it, but my poor bladder exploded as we pulled up to the tank. I left a wet spot on her seat as I ran for the bathroom, crying in shame. she totally freaked out and started yelling about how she was going to clean the seat. I ended up working for her mom Carol , cleaning a beauty salon, to pay for the upholstery cleaning.
oh, and then there's the time that I was raped by five guys, and Mark broke into his dad's congregation files and dug out the police report and showed all the guys in the congregation, and no one would dance with me at weddings, after that.

p.s. I found out the people who clean our office are Jehovah's Witnesses ( I guess I should have seen that coming. big surprise, eh?). what kind of interesting stuff could I leave out on my desk for them? not to harrass them, maybe just to let them know that they clean an ex-JW's office every day. okay, maybe just harass them a little. I really need to learn to play nicely.

He made himself satan because he was created with the choice to become Satan. According to dub theology.....and others...........he too had freewill. Would you or I create something with the potential to destroy miilions of lives........if we could avoid it? If you could create an automobile that would NEVER kill anyone, would you? Or.....would you create an automobile with the potential than millions could be killed if they didn't follow instuctions? Jesus seems to have chosen the latter with humans involved instead of cars.

fifty dollars to anyone who can prove they attended this year's memorial and actually drank the wine. just drank it down in one gulp and got up and walked out, high-fiving people all the way back to the exit.
after all, it's not illegal to drink the wine. what can they do, call the police on you? and you'd give them a decade's worth of out-in-service gossip.

Could You REALLY Explain All The Beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by minimus ini'll bet that most could not explain why jws believe that 1914 was a marked year, the watchtower definition of the faithful & discreet slave, not accepting blood transfusions, the differences between porneia, loose conduct and uncleanness, etc..........
