  What do Americans actually really know about???

  what do americans in general actually really know about the big outside world outside of their own culture?.

  it's certainly not just me, but for years since early childhood in fact, it has been commonly accepted by many, that americans in general are the biggest ignorant fools residing almost anywhere on the planet, yet they still do their damndest to have everyone believe what a great nation they are.

  is it even beyond their comprehension how foolish they look often to the rest of the world, the fact that they have so little understanding of problems on the worldwide front?.

  What pisses me off most about both wars, especially the second, is that the French had the largest standing army on the planet at the time and could have ended Hitler's career for him very quickly if they hadn't had the smallest balls in the world. And now they criticize and judge everything that moves. Fuckin' French should just make their shit-smelling cheese and keep their mouths shut.

  Not just that Francois... you also gotta consider the Vietnam War. It was originally a French problem and then, it was dropped to our laps and the French criticized us about our participation in that war.

  Sheesh!!!!

  It seems that's the attitude of the rest of world toward us: You have one hand to beg us (for $$$$$)and the other hand with a birdy pointing at us (to tell us "F**K YOU" ).

  Now to the rest of the world, Why is it that "if we do something, you trash us badly and if we do nothing, you still trash us badly."?

  Same S**t, Different Day: "Damn if we do it and Damn if we don't do it".

  I am sorry that you are leaving. I enjoyed reading your posts. I haven't read any posts that has Anti-American tones or critical of America as I usually don't read them. Believe me, the rest of the world is very critical of America. It's been like that for a long time: "If we do anything, they thrash us for doing it. If we don't do anything, they still thrash us for not doing anything. It's like Damn if we do it and Damn if we don't do it". That's always been the attitude toward us.

  I don't agree on why you are leaving the forum, but I gotta respect your decision as you also have rights.

  I did not know you were a "futebol" fan. I gotta admit that Ronaldo is extraordinary, but I don't think he's the next Pele as I doubt that there will be anyone like him ever. He may be the closest thing we have to a Pele today. However, I feel Ronaldo is in a class by himself, just like Pele is in a class all by himself too.

  Well anyways, Have a great Trip! Viva Brasil!!! (My prediction: Brasil 2, Germany 1 with goals by Ronaldo and Ronaldinho)

  Adult College Students - Take a Bow!

  i notice that there are many of us here who were discouraged from going to college/university in our younger years, courtesy of the watchtower society.

  i would just like to say "congrats" to those who, in spite of the indoctrination and the fact that they've had to attend college later while holding down jobs and paying their own way, have attended college and received degrees!.

  when i left high school i went right into pioneering as college was not an option in the witness world.

  Although I was never a JW and I am already a college graduate, let me salute, applaud and congratulate all of you for your accomplishments. I also cannot help but admire the work and efforts that all of you did in seeking and obtaining a college education as you all had to go thru a lot of obstacles.

  I certainly hope that your stories of success will inspire many other posters here who could not afford or take the opportunity to go to college because to me, all of your experiences are very inspiring. One main thing that you all showed and taught in this thread is that "It is never late to obtain an education."

  just wanted to share that my cousin watched dateline and although she had faded away, still had guilt about not attending meetings.

  she and i have been writing and tonight she wrote to say that she'd read cofc and feels a lot better.
