I think it is true. All that smile and happy, carefree attitude seems to be just a facade or an act to make everyone (nonJWs and other JWs) believe that they are living a happy life or that JWs are the happiest people on Earth. So much for that hypocrisy, that when a nonJW baptizes, then their true colors will reveal or when a nonJW doesn't wanna join, they will show their true colors.

I am not and never been a JW myself. However, through extensive research and with what is going on with recent events, You bet that I, as a never-been-a-Jehovah's-Witness, will never join and become one.
On the subject of recent events, I don't agree with DF'ing the people inside the fold who are trying to make things right. I also add that NOT reporting the pedophiles to the authorities WILL pose dangers to all non-JW kids.
So I am telling you folks that if you're in Field Service, you'll get a similar attitude from an informed non-JW like me. So, go ahead and tell your elders about it about why non-JWs will be less likely to be recruited based on the events.

Sorry to hear'bout you and your mother. However, you gotta remember that you are an adult now. You make your own life decisions.
Also, don't feel guilty that your mother won't call your or talk to you because as much as she disagrees with you, she should still remain open to you because that's what unconditional love is. I still have a lot of disagreements with my father, but because I don't share or agree with some of his opinions, doesn't mean that he's gonna stop talking to me or I am gonna stop talking to him. The main reason for that is that there's still love between my Dad and I.
Just remember, you are not a child or a kid anymore. She oughta treat you like an adult.

as ive made it known on this board, my current status with the watchtower bible and tract society is that of inactive.
this is a loophole i have utilized, to keep an open channel of communication with family members in the organization.. i want to clarify with everyone: i do not hold any doctrinal ideas, theology, ideology, opinions expressed in any form by the wtbts.
therefore, to simply put, i do not believe in the wtbts in any way, shape, or form.

my current job is due to be phased out within the next few weeks and i had been reluctant to make my announcement until i secured a new position.
i figured just in case my wife went beserk and left i would'nt want to be stuck looking for a job and carrying all the bills.. anyway i went on an interview yesterday within the company and this morning i got the call that if i wanted the job it was mine, so naturally i accepted without hesitation.
so now my next step is to get a second car within the next few days, that way i won't be stuck at the house when my wife is at the meetings or field service.

Sorry to hear about what is happening to you, but unfortunately that is how dubs are gonna act: When one of them is getting close and friendly with a "worldly" (like us), he/she will have "guilt" in their conscience and the only way for him/her to make it right is to confess to the elders. As you'll see, it is a cult that likes to play and ride with guilt-trip of its followers.
One day, you are a "friend", the next time around, you are not a "friend". Pretty messed up, Right?
