  I cant help but laugh... so many contradictory desires. For example, theres a huge push for bethel to turn over a so called pedophile data base. That dosent bother anyone. No one calls that Orwellian despite the fact that these are innocent people, tried only in the cults kangaroo star chamber proceedings. Yet let the cult propose a simple member database and people go crazy.

  Its 2018. The information on the pub record card is, for most of america at any rate, 100% available via public record. Its name address and dob. I can get that on almost anyone with a simple google search. It makes sense for an organization to keep member records. My trade union has 10x the info. My bank. My company. Hell my grocery store has that info with the bonus card i signed up for.

  Get a grip people. Its embarassing to see people over react to such small things and let their imaginations run away. You look like fools.

  Its note worthy, its worth talking about and discussing, yes, but orwellian and deep state it aint.

  i mean assad is not gonna gasify his adversaries when he almost won the civil war.

  trump too suspended a very important trip to the latinoamerican presidents summit in peru, just to 'oversee the american response to syria.

  Ive never seen anything to indicate that they think they can force their god to something, in fact they preach patience at every turn and waiting in him and everything in his time blah blah blah....

  However they may well be drinking their own cool aide and really feeling a sense of urgency and acting accordingly. Ive long said some of them are true believers and in that context it makes sense that they would feel a sense of needing to act as if the end is near

  in short i would say you have cause and effect reversed.

  Affected by assembly

  hi - first some context - i have been pimo for about 20 years now and so have been to a lot of assemblies in that time.

  last weekend i went to a circuit assembly and for the first time afterwards i was able to talk directly to someone who knows i'm out.

  i realised then that although i didn't agree with any teachings (i sat picking holes in the arguements as usual) the experience of being there had affected me - the way of life started feeling normal as did the overall way of viewing the world.

  The cult life style offers a lot of basic human needs in an easy to get form: community, purpose, a sense of importance, certsinty as to lifes big questions and on and on... its easy to be taken back, a sense of nostalgia sort of thing, to a simpler time when your sitting in an assembly hall. Happy feelings come rushing back and the old anchor points are triggered.
