  Can you tell us a little more about this publication? It appears to be deeply out of print...

  It is definitely out of print. The UK edition was published in 1967 by Hutchinson in London. The same book was published in the US but they changed the title: "The Inside Story of Jehovah?s Witnesses" by Hart Publishing, New York. You may have a chance in antique book stores or university libraries.

  Jehovah's Witnesses / Apostate statistics.....

  ok ok....don't bite at the "apostate" label.

  but recently someone on here told me that disaffected/inactive/d/f jws now must out number jws as a whole.. i (funny enough) disagreed.

  does anyone have proof otherwise?

  The 40,000 df is world-wide. (W 4/1/94) which, at that time, was about 1% of active JWs. That would mean 60,000 at this time, assuming the percentage remains the same - which is debatable.

  years ago, when the cover of the new world translation was green coloured, mormon missionaries referred to it as the "green devil".

  anyone knows of similar or other expressions?

  i am drawing from the collected wisdom of this board, which has never let me down before!

  i'm doing some research for a school project and was wondering if anyone had any sources (academic, news, articles, anything "legit") discussing the relationship between a person's religion, education, and political party -- or any combination of those.

  i do have the list ranking each religion's percentage of college-educated members, but i'm having a hard time finding anything linking these to political party.

  well, to this day, after many probes to mars and thousands of pictures of it, there is not the slightest shred of proof that life exists on mars or other planets in the solar system or on any other planets in the universe.. the christian, particularly, knows that even a million landings on mars, venus, jupiter, saturn or any of the planets and their moons will fail to reveal evolution of life.

  well let's just wait and see shall we?.....

  Just curious. Do any of you know of any religion that acknowledges the existance of life on other planets? I only know of one.

  The Raelian Movement. And about 20 more are listed in the Encyclopedia of American Religions
