Not usually, but at a certain stressful time in my life...I had very low tolerance. I had someone cut me off (very close call) and I was so overwhelmed with the urge to just ram his deluxe model car when he stopped at the next light that I got totally dizzy. I guess that means my blood pressure shot up, huh?

Coincidences,What Do You Think?
by Blueblades inrecently, two posters, happy out and tyydyy posted topics that mirrored my exact recent experiences.. happy out's car crash was my experience this past thursday morning.i was hit by two tractor trailers on the njtpk.the airbag did not deploy enabling me to steer clear of on -coming traffic as i was spun around.
they made lane changes and fish-tailed swiping me from one lane to the next,it had been raining and the roadway surface was slick.. i ended up facing sideways, drivers side facing on-coming traffic at 60 mph and higher, front end into the wall divider.i quickly reversed myself and moved to the far right lane shoulder, thankful that the car was able to move after the front end hit the wall.the state troopers said this happens a lot and the trailers don't even realize that they side-wiped someone.they were long gone,no injuries to anyone else,no other collisions invovled.i walk away with out a scratch, front end damage to the car will be repaired,i was shaken up to say the least and thought this was it for me.. this was exactly one week after my brother died at the same time of morning,9:20 am.coincidence??
?i mentioned this to happy out in his post.. then, tyydyy posts that he finds his brother after 22 years.this two was my experience as i told him in his post.one of my sisters found me this past week, after twenty-something years which lead to finding four of my six sisters, still looking for the other two.coincidences???.

Just Because We Disagree With Someone Doesn't Mean They're Not Welcomed
by minimus ini am seeing something interesting going on the board here.
if a poster, especially, a new one says something considered unpopular around here, and another poster refutes or disagrees, some people suggest that we're not being kind or welcoming to new ones or to those that have a differing view.
i don't think that this is what we're collectively trying to tell a person that doesn't share the majority viewpoint.

When I came here, I actually respected all those opinionated people! When I left the witnesses, I didn't know what I believed, or even how I felt--I was just a lost soul. But, after seeing all these people with opinions(sometimes really strong opinions), I realized that there was hope for me, that I would eventually sort all the crap out and finally have an opinion (...and get a life??? ha ha). It is really nice to finally have left the JW fog I was in and actually think for myself! And, I did still feel welcome.

Lady Lee, I too came from Randy's link a while ago. I would "come in" and see what was new and lurked for a while. I have so many of the same reasons for coming here that many here have already expressed. I wanted to hear what others in my place had to say-that was my goal. In the process, I learned that I am not alone in how I feel...whether those feelings be happiness, rage, etc. When I started posting, I felt a part of something. The nice thing about that is when I left the dubs, I felt alone. I had no friends...literally. By coming here, it took away the loneliness somewhat. When I lost my computer, I could not come for a long time. Now that I have my new computer....I try to check in everyday. I missed it! The only thing I did not miss was the flame wars, but then, I usually just ignored them and went on to happier or more informative posts. The thing I learned here is that we all have very deep feelings about how our life was and is now. Sometimes those feelings go over the top. But I don't judge anyone anymore...I have had enough of being a judgemental person. Let everyone have their say...I don't always have to agree with them, but they have every right to vent. This site is a great place for that! (lovinlife sends a hug to Simon for caring enough to do this....)

Out of the mist
by Greenpalmtreestillmine ini posted here just a little back in january of 2001. i scrambled out of here right quick then since i was still active and fearful of so many things.
i am inactive but not exactly a non jw yet.
i am a conservative person and still believe that some of the teachings of jws are good though i do not agree with everything that's for sure!

some of you are aware of just how nasty my divorce got.
even though it was necessary and desired, it has left me pretty raw.

You are in my thoughts....My divorce was also very bad. In a nutshell, I was a worn out pioneer, then bethelite, then pioneer mom that was physically beaten and verbally and emotionally abused by my elder husband. (still a witness by the way). I know you are in agony and total exhaustion. You will survive....no matter how hard it is, just take care of yourself in every way you can. I hope we see you soon. If you ever need to talk, let me know and I will give you my email address.

I think that I would not do business with most dubs. My reason is that there were many that my ex (still a witness and contractor) worked with. Some never paid, some were dishonest...(including the ex) etc. But I will say that there are a few, only a few, that were really good people, that I would hire. IMHO, those few were really good people before they became witnesses anyway!

he tried to toe the line and after 6 months the local congregation recommended reinstatement.
bethel didn't like that idea.
