  10at first one might reason that it is simply one minister who is wrong or certain church members who do not do right.

  for me it was the 144,000 and the nature of christ's resurrection.

  i seriously could not believe that there were two classes of christians when it was not stated implicitly in the bible, but was expected to be believed in as absolute truth.

  yes here is another story about my cult minded husband,but this one really blew me away.

  the silentlambs caucus that was recently in nashville was in our local paper last sunday.

  i saw the article before my husband did so i knew what it said.

  I don't blame you. The kind of self-surrender that's imposed on us from the WTS comes from proud men and NOT from God.

  Why worry about rescinding anything? If that's how you feel, speak your piece and stop attending...They're going to shun you either way!

  jw's have a conflict of being "followers of christ" and "witnesses of jehovah".

  jehovah is malevolent and jesus is benevolent.

  they are the mordern albigensians serveing a good god(jesus) and a evil god(jehovah).

  Who sent Jesus? John 7:28

  Who taught Jesus? John 5:30, 8:26,28

  Then Jesus taught us. John 8:31, 38, 40, 47

  So Jesus learned His benevolence from JEHOVAH.

  We are Christian Witnesses of Jehovah.

  i mentioned, in a recent thread, that one booklet in particular helped me shed some misconceptions about the wts.

  it was regarding whether or not they were just misguided, or intentionally deceptive.. the booklet "exposing 'should you believe the trinity'" was what did it for me, solely on the basis of scholastic integrity (not the trinity doctrine, which has been "done to death" on many other threads).. .

  well, tonite, i finally said what i had to say to my live-in.

  i've shared just a tiny bit of the insanity i've been thru and put up with with this man...............for three years.. there is a saying when you've had enough, you'll stop.

  today, after pacing like a restless tiger in the house and not wanting to do any of the things i suggested, he called a cab and is on his way to buy crack and hang out with an old friend from his past.

  I just want to get him out of my apartment and get my life back on track.

  Since he's not totaly out yet, look for him to try to Boo Hoo or Guilt his way back in. Count on it if he didn't get the real meaning of what you said to him. Keep your guard up and don't let him wear you down!

  what is the latest incarnation of the king of the north in dubland as i had an elder tell me on sunday that the muslim nations were the king now.

  i had not heard that before and it seems to me that they are just pulling anybody out of their arse as the king as they become more influential, how many times are they going to get it wrong before people wake up to it?

  Official WTS view, I haven't heard a new one. IMO though, China or a China/Russia combo would seem to fit. We are talking about a shoving between world powers.
