I think the Witnesses have it right about the 8th King and the end of religion. My personal belief is that the idea to turn over power to the UN will originate with the Americans and the Britons in the name of the 'War on Terror.' If in the US the Liberal Demacrats (who are very pro UN and anti-religion) regain power, I can see them leading the cause of world 'Peace and Security' by empowering the UN. Remember too, Russia and China have NO LOVE of religion and except for world opinion they would probably crush it on their own within their boarders. So it would be in their best interest to yield authority to the UN (on paper) they'll get to do what they've been wanting to do to religion for a long time and nobody is the 'Bad Guy,' they're just following orders. After religion is gone, the UN will declare "Peace and Security" when there is none, and the End will come. ...IMO

I'm sorry if I'm being redundant when I do this Blondie, I just think these points deserve repeating.

But should a loyal Christian not speak out against lies and untruth? A real brother will tell you the truth even if it is difficult. Does our loyalty belong to God or an organization?

Actually they mean drifted away from the JW congregation; many people still love God and never left him but have realized that he could no longer be found at the KH of JWs.
Also, notice how they combine the thought of apostasy with drifting away.

"Wiser than our enemies"
The only way to combat the doctrines of the WTS is through the scriptures and their own flipflopping words.
"Behave with more understanding than older men"
Do you feel that way since being on JWD you are better equipped to deal with the carefully crafted statements of the WTS?

Personally let? No, only after it is been filtered through WT publications.

How many JWs understand that child molesters have committed fornication and/or adultery? Is it women in the congregation that through their policies make the JW congregation an ideal place for molesters; requiring 2 eyewitnesses before the elders will act to protect the congregation?

"Really what matters is that Jehovah looks on us with favor"
Yes, it is only what God and Jesus think of us that matters; not the WTS, not the elders, not other JWs, not your JW family.

"We will not be stumbled spiritually by what someone else does or by any other matter."
Jesus kept Gods law perfectly. He wasnt stumbled spiritually when he say the actions and words of the religious leaders of his time; it did not stop him from pointing out how Gods word had been made invalid or publicly acknowledging that those who were doing that were offspring of vipers and from their father the Devil.

"Wandered away from the Christian congregation"
Really, only left the JW organization because no spiritual security was found there and they could no longer praise God in an organization that did not display the love of the Christ.

"Study the Scriptures diligently"
Never just accept something because the WTS says it. Open your Bible, read the context, check other places in the Bible, what has the WTS said in the past (use your CD). Pray to God but not those canned prayers you hear at the KH.

My own 2 cents:

The WTS has rules to unite them.
Dress and grooming; no beards on men, no pants on women at the KH or in the ministry, all without biblical basis.

As we all know, the literal words of God and His Son are what matter most. Since the bible also contains purely human reasoning ( Deut. 24: 1-4, 1Cor. 14: 33b-35, 1Tim. 2: 8-15, Prov. 31: 6 and 7). We have to be very careful and discerning about attaching more importance than deserved to all the words written in it ( Matt. 24: 15b, 1Thess. 5: 21, Matt. 19: 3-9, 1Cor. 7: 10, 12, 25, 2Cor. 11: 17a).

We do not approve of "halfhearted ones," even as Jesus disapproves of lukewarm professing Christians today . (Psalm 119:113;

= Shun all inactive ones, they are disapproved by Jesus and contemptable!

Something I've wondered about for many a year.......

The GB relies heavily on the 'opinions' of the apostle Paul. They also use selective application when it comes to his writtings. What they like they use as doctrine and what they don't like they ignore ie: Galatians 5: 4, this scripture should restain them from creating so-called 'bible principles' that return the Christian Congregation back to the Law Code.

This is an example of what I see as the division that exists within the GB. Some ARE spiritualy focused and others are SELF ABSORBED EGOTISTS who burdon/beat the congregation down with endless man made rules, guilt and fear!

Here are two examples of the latter:

ASK YOURSELF: ...How important to you is attendance at meetings of the Christian congregation?

Not important at all, unless of course you enjoy having your individuality, your mind and your life taken away bit by bit. Hebrews 10:24,25 is an exhortation NOT a command!

What action do you need to take? Ask yourself: 'Do I still cling to a religious organization that is tainted with teachings and practices that mark it as part of 'Babylon theGreat?' Or the UN? Does the religious organization that I belong to unlovingly use guilt and fear to manipulate and contol its people? Does the religious organization I belong to discourage independant thought and critical review of its teachings? Does the religious organization I belong to preach that their leaders are not infallable then expect me to treat everything they say as if they are? Does the religious organization I belong to seek to take up as much of my time as possible with church services and studying of their literature? Does the religious organization I belong to dictate every aspect of my life with little or no room for using my own judgement? ...Think carefully about your reply.

Wait a minute!
I thought the "feet of iron and clay" on the image in Daniel represented the "Anglo-American World Power". At least that's how it was when my dad used to give that public talk on the dream in Daniel.

Yes, then the WTS switched it to be ALL the governments during the Last Days which is inconsistant with the prophecy since it is a succession of World Powers from Babylon till the End.

I think you exactly nailed it with this sentance.

1John 4: 8, "...God is love." It doesn't say God is 'loving' it says He IS love...Why? Hebrews 6:18 says it is also "...impossible for God to lie."...Why?? If it didn't matter, if it made no differance, why embrace love to the extent that you become it? Why make/insist that love be the law and order of things for his intelligent creatures? It must be because there is a law of existance that even God must submit to, otherwise lawless hedonisim would be the natural order of things. Love is self sacrificing and contributes to the advancement of the whole. Pride (which I believe is the opposite of love) is selfish and works against the advancement of the whole. Love is a law in itself where as Pride is lawless. Lawlessness to any degree is unacceptable. I believe Revelation 22: 15 proves this, in that liers are exluded the same as murderers from the Kingdom. When some cells of our body become lawless we do everything we can to correct it, even cutting parts of our body off to save it from the self-destuctive lawless cells. We don't want or allow any of them to exist within us. We call the lawless cells...Cancer.

To recognise this however is to accept that we do not need God to determine for us what is good and what is bad.

I disagree. We're creations of God...smaller versions of Himself. To the extent we understand good and bad is because He put a level of understanding of them within us. He is the Master we are the students. The reason He has allowed humanity to act on its own, to allow everyone to become a law unto themselves, was to show the natural decay that takes place when self-sacrificing love is not the standard. I believe it is also has physical manifistation, otherwise, again...why would God be love? Also, He told Adam and Eve they would die if they chose to deviate from His law. He did not say I will execute you, He said 'you will die.' I believe it is a case of natural 'cause and effect.' God is love and interestingly He is also the "King of Eternity," 1Timothy 1: 17 and Revelation 15: 3.

JW peer pressure

there seems to be a common theme going on in the jw community.

at the first sign of a possible committment, every jw rushes you (with guilt) to show that you are serious.then, at the first sign of trouble everyone wants you to shoulder your responsibilities.finally, they damn/shun you if you can't handle things or choose/decide to quit.. i've seen this scenario played out with: interested couples rushed to engagement.dating couple rushed into marriage.bible studies & young persons rushed into baptism.any jw with 'free' time (meaning non-wt activities) rushed into pioneer service.young pioneer brothers rushed into bethel.. have you seen the same in your areas?

can you think of other scenarios?

He came under censure by the cong. because he had a history of doing this to sisters. There were two other broken "courtships" or instances of him having led-on sisters or so the stories went.

So, if you don't marry the first person you court/date your 'marked' eh? What a great idea! Lets not stop there, lets DF them too!!

Here's a thought, how about letting men and women date and court at their leisure 'until' they find the right person to marry? Wouldn't that be original???

Ever wonder why there are no commands from God on this subject?? Could it be because He allows US the FREEDOM to find our mates on our own?? To take the time and make the effort to find the right one no matter how long or how many courtships it takes?! The Congregations should take note of it.

Anyway, because he was no longer viewed positively by the cong. he left and went elsewhere.

Smart move.
